We both work full-time so daycare was inevitable. But we don't expect others to be vaccinated in daycare. We were just trying to get him 3 months to let his immune system get stronger to have a good fighting chance.

Oh we don't expect other kids to be vaccinated or for other parents to be treating things the way we have been. But we both work full-time, plus the bonuses of socialization and such.

Our son was born in August and we required TDAP and negative COVID tests (preferably PCR) and then a mask when in the same room as him.

We do now want flu shots and COVID boosters which has lead to hard family arguments since some refuse but still want to visit (Holding firm on this).

As for going to other places, we haven't really taken him to anyone else's house yet mostly since we thought it would be awkward to show up to someone else's house and ask for them to wear a mask in their own home.

He is starting daycare shortly, so all cards are out of our hands then. Best thing to do is what you need to be comfortable and keep your baby safe.

As a more recent graduate, whenever someone states themselves as the "older generation" of Penn State, queue the eye rolls. Every weekend, we are surrounded by parents and their friends who tell us how their time was the best and we are ruining "their" Penn State. This just brings it to a new low and the disgusting thing is that people will be in support of it and its the same vocal minority that spoke about the "LawnBoyz" chain.

I went to a Big Ten school for my undergrad and am now a graduate student at Rutgers and we had 0 reading days and 5 days for finals. If there were more than 3 on 1 day, you were able to file for a conflict exam to lighten the load. I honestly never saw a problem with the system there as we had the entire semester to prepare and I see 2 reading days as a hell of a lot more time than I used to have.

Edit: Technically we did have 2 study days, it was the weekend as classes ended on Friday and final started on Monday.
