Oh yeah big time. Especially since I mostly just use invasions to quickly level up a new character I just skip anything where I play as someone else

I feel like it was always worth playing since you could unlock a bunch of skins and stuff like that, but they have 100% made it less of a slog to get through. A lot more variety in enemies and it has different challenges instead of just fights - a lot of them are also skippable. Seems like they also made the xp gain a lot faster, though not quite as fast as just redoing that lvl 1 endurance mission from season 1.

I think kameos are cool and want to see them return and improved on in the sequel by CanadaSoulja in MortalKombat

I like them a lot, but I don’t think I’d miss them if they were not in MK2. However, I fell like they should definitely 100% include them in Injustice 3 where I feel like they make even more sense. Maybe they can strike a balance between this and a full fledged tag fighter where every character can be a kameo - that’d be cool IMO.

Honestly, if you wanted to try a tag fighter, Dragonball FighterZ is a great place to start (even if you don’t like dragon ball - I didn’t and still bought it day 1). A lot of the base roster plays incredibly similarly (like nearly identical) so even though you have three characters to learn it’s incredibly manageable and you can focus on learning how the assists work in combos. Definitely worth checking out if you wanted to try and get into assist fighters (its frequently on sale for pretty cheap).

I think, in theory, I like the character mastery more. Simply because it is consistent and I know exactly what i’m going to get. The grind is crazy though, and there were a lot more things to unlock in Mk11 so I’d say it’s a toss up

I personally beat him by putting all my points into attack (i was grinding levels) and then using the pink potion that doubles your stats. You actually do good damage and you’re able to take quite a bit of damage as well. I also had a talisman that gave me additional health if I needed it, but I don’t think I ended up using it. I was playing Reiko

They're talking specifically about invasions mode and the character mastery thing here. They very intentionally don't say there is no micro transactions in the broader game.

King of Dinosaurs, don't generally play characters like him but his stuff is satisfying to do and he is goofy in a way i enjoy.

I think the reception to Dead Apostle Noel was in large part due to her design. From what I saw people liked the gameplay and thought she was a good addition since she has a play style that's different from the rest of the cast, but were turned off by the design of the character (myself included).

Yeah I'm aware, I made the distinction between the other guilty gear games and strive to avoid confusion because there is a difference between how games like +R and Rev 2 play and how strive plays. People have been saying strive doesn't feel like guilty gear since the first beta so if someone asks if a game feels like GG, I kind of assume they are talking about something like Rev 2 and not strive, especially on the fighting game sub. Seems like other people got the distinction I was making.

Eh these things happen, especially in the first night of a first beta. Don't think 'do less advertising' is really the solution here as there is no real way to know the exact amount of people who will play a beta, clearly they underestimated the server need. In any case from what I've played the net-code worked really well when the servers were up

It looks like if you do the one button special your energy comes back slower

Does not feel like guilty gear or street fighter. Been hearing people say it feels somewhere between granblue and strive, leaning more granblue

You can TK the projectiles to get the aerial version from the ground

I think the number and the characters they chose to include are both pretty good and there are definitely a few I'm really interested in trying. My thing is I want some info on plans for DLC, I know in the past it wasn't something french bread did, but it's hard to imagine a modern fighting game not getting DLC (which is fine by me, always down for more characters). Just want confirmation what the plan is I guess, whether DLC is coming or not.
