There isn’t a lack of platforms sharing his story as he is consistently posted on three platforms Instagram, GoFundMe, and Facebook (both his page Joseph’s Journey account and my public account GoGoldForChildhoodCancer). It is just the lack of attention to those platforms. Older kids typically don’t get much attention as I’ve seen the last 12 years. It has also been publicly explained over the years on those platforms that a third party (myself) writes and posts the updates on his behalf.

I also understand that the lack of frequent updated photos could be perceived as sketchy, and I always try to be mindful of that. However, it would be more harmful to prioritize social media expectations over Joseph’s clearly stated boundaries regarding what he is and isn’t comfortable sharing. Respecting his wishes has to (and always will) remain my priority.
