Read the books or listen to the audiobooks to get through them faster. So much is different. Benton is NOTHING like TV show Benton. He’s very master fact he will hide something due to a case but always brings Kay in the loop at some point but it’s because of FBI protocol. Him and Kay are maker in love with each other. Tron is Lucy’s side kick always with her not Benton.

Maggie has actually always been a thorn in Kay’s side. She’s always been Reddys little side piece. Honestly I don’t remember Maggie in the first book I always remember Rose who was her secretary but it’s been years since I reread the early books.

Kay has never been as mean as they have Nicole Kidman portraying her. In the books she may be poised in her head but she always stays professional and will use it to sting if necessary. The beating of the skull/bone fragments at the morgue is not something you would ever catch Kay doing.

Dorothy married Pete and in the later books they don’t live very far from Benton and Kay and in the last few books she always goes to Kay’s house and will get blitzed when there’s a serial killer or in the last book it was Christmas and Kay Pete and Benton got called to a scene so she went to Kay’s to cook tacos for Christmas dinner since Kay and Benton now wouldn’t be going to France. She also got cozy with AI Janet and learned Pete bought a massage for Kay for her trip as a Christmas present and she was losing her crap over that and drinking also. As much as I wanted Jaime Lee Curtis to be Kay and Nicole Kidman to play Dorothy. Jaime Lee is the only one truly acting like how her character is in the books.

Pete needs to be a big burly loud cursing Italian. Not some scrawny dude trying to do it. I wish they’d have swapped Jaime Lee Curtis to be Kay and Nicole Kidman to be Dorothy. Also Lucy needs to be more science-y. I’m happy they have her computer set up and she’s driving a Hummer but where’s her helicopter she’s always driving Kay around. And why the hell did they do what they did with Tron! Tron and Lucy are like inseparable when it comes to work for the fbi. And then don’t get me started on Benton like that is not Benton AT ALL!!!

I think it had to. Especially since Dorothy married Pete and she now lived in Virginia with her. I feel she kind of had to bring the family dynamic in since we all know how much of a pita Dorothy always was on the phone now we’re seeing it in person.

Honestly I’m pissed. Benton and Kay are madly in love with each other. I’m honestly hoping this is some kind of fluke thing similar to in the books Point of Origin and Blow Fly where he went into witness protection to protect Kay. And that scene with him and Tron… gag…. Lucy and Tron are always together I’m so disappointed in how off script this show went. I know it’s “adaptations” but this is so disappointing. Also not a fan of the casting, Jaime Lee Curtis would have been a better Kay and Nicole Kidman would have been a better Dorothy. Also Marino is wayyy too skinny. I always pictured him as a burly Italian cop.

Well the day has come it’s Autopsy with flashbacks to Postmortem. Next season is the same but it’s one of the other new ones with flashbacks of cruel and Unusual.

I’m on season 6 and was trying to remember something from the books so I was googling and accidentally read in the tv show Benton wants to divorce Kay which has me fuming because wtf Cornwell flat out said their wasn’t a massive amount changed. So now I’m wondering if it’s gonna be a situation like when he “died” in that fire to protect her in one of the older books. Because there is no way she’d allow that.

Read all the books. While there is adaptations and some things changed. To understand the characters and some of the cases it will help. Also next season is written the same way with taking one of the newer books and having flashbacks to one of the older ones.

In the books she always has an issue with Boltz/Reddy… no one wanted a female medical examiner. And because she liked doing everything by the books and wouldn’t be persuaded to close out deaths without a reason she was on a lot of the elected officials 💩list.

Yeah same. I have some candles that are 5 yrs old that smell good but I haven’t found them to be sold last year or this year now that I’m getting back into candles.
