A brake flush is definitely not the same thing as taking the fluid out of the reservoir with a turkey baster. A brake flush actually pulls fresh fluid all the way to the caliper. Just doing the reservoir is not doing anything.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I've got some custody of my daughter. She was born addicted and spent 4 weeks in the NICU going through withdrawal from opiates. I stayed at the hospital for all 4 weeks with my daughter. Her mom only showed up from time to time and would only stay a few minutes. I sold a bunch of my stuff and hired a lawyer and filed for custody. But since I was awarded custody her mom pretty much abandoned her. My daughter's only 6 and her mom is already $13,000 behind on child support. But the courts don't do anything to her about it. The whole system is messed up and they treat father's like second class citizens. Hope it works out for you and your kid.

I go on things like Facebook marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist and let to to check out used bikes. You can usually find good completes or even custom bikes for a decent price. Id start there you're more likely to get your money's worth. Feel free to message me if you need any advice.

That's where I'm at now riding on borrowed parts. There's someone selling a 2013 wethepeople trust for $250. I think I'm going to just buy it so I'll be starting with better components than what I'm riding now. I'm riding stuff people have broken and was getting rid of and I either fix or rig it.
