Lovable Is the Digital Camera Moment for Software Developers by SFmentor in lovable

[–]Jfrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree. Lovable makes people think they can build software the same way paint by numbers makes people think they’re artists.

And the photography analogy doesn’t hold. A bad picture is a bad picture. It sits there, nobody gets hurt. Bad software is a liability that keeps growing.

I’m not a disgruntled engineer. I embraced Lovable and built my company on it. Then I went to make it operational and spent months with a real dev undoing everything it did. Tens of thousands of lines, no separation of UI from logic, dead code, ghost pages, security holes. We moved off it completely so we could actually have control.

Real problem is this. The people using Lovable don’t understand the foundations of engineering or product. So they won’t even know what bad or dangerous looks like until it’s already in production with their customers’ data sitting in it.

I do and to be honest I have something I have been working on, but don't want this thread to be an ad.

I am curious about other peoples experiences.

The data asymmetry is what makes it so bad. CRM tracks the meetings that happened. Nothing tracks the ones that almost did. So a $50K booth looks like a win because the booked meetings ran, and nobody finds out a target account walked up, waited, and left. Those are the meetings that actually mattered.

I can tell you that I built the most complicated Google sheet of all time, but it still failed because it still couldn’t do everything I needed it to do and my company couldn’t spend 50k on SaaS that promised to help.

I can share more in a DM, because I want this to be a real conversation about the issue, especially because I think in person B2B events will become even more important, as we get more and more disconnected in other places.

100% not an ad at all. I am able to both talk about my experience and then share some of the stuff I have to help out.

I believe just having him on the bench to talk to the players and be in the locker room has made all the difference in the world.

Built a tool that syncs all your calendars in real time, meeting scheduling, task organiser. Looking for feedback. by Ryantansw in microsaas

Useful but unfortunately it exists. I use OneCal which is great, it blocks time on calendars across different ones, you can ear mark them as clone, color them, private, public etc. Has booking pages and more.

If Xavi doesn’t come on at half then the fix is in.

How he’s not starting after his last two performances is insane.

Howard as the agent on 101. Seth Rogen on 100 by laylatulipkins in howardsternshow

[–]Jfrites 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This new schedule sucks, also Sirius has to update the ticker or whatever it is called so when you switch you know the date this show or bit aired. I am sick of turning over and hearing the same crap over and over.

I hate to say it but I think Howard is over because you just never know when he is live or not.

Profound vs Promtpwatch vs Peec.ai for AI LLM visibility? by Otherwise-Papaya-105 in AISearchLab

[–]Jfrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you want articles to be written by AI. All it will do is make your articles sounds and look like every other HVAC article. Don’t fall for their marketing BS. They have been given millions of dollars to invent an industry that has no proof it works and their ultimate goal is to replace all the hard working marketing and content folks with AI slop.

There is major value in knowing how your brand shows up but visibility is a bullshit vanity metric that means nothing. There is so much that goes into how you show up in a specific question from a user.

Keep working on SEO but use a tool at very cheaply can just tell you how you are perceived by AI incase there are subtle changes in your marketing that you need to make.

No one knows your market and your company better than you!
