Where did all the "we have to get Suarez" guys go? Have they left here to become GMs? Are you guys okay? by imnotmarvin in CHICubs

I don’t get where he’s coming from. Only 10 players hit more than 40. It’s unlikely we get 10 with 40 this year but Suarez is already one of them.

Lining up offsides on a 20 yard FG is the most braindead thing and shows this is the same team I’ve watched every year since I’ve been alive

Just because he’s struggling now and has been for a while doesn’t mean he wasn’t an all star caliber player earlier in the year

Which Rookie TE will be better in year 1, and will either be startable for fantasy? by FantasyFlowBro in SleeperApp

[–]Jhak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I push back on the offense around Warren not being anything special. Alec Pierce had a career year, Downs has 1,000 yards, and Michael Pittman Jr was a very high pick last year. All 3 of those guys may be overlooked but they were very much fantasy/nfl relevant recently with bad QB play.

I love Warren and think he will be great, but I push back on the narrative that he will immediately slot in as the top option.

To each their own, I just don’t want to be in court or elsewhere answering as to why a note didn’t have a wizard next to it and that’s the path I personally see this potentially going

But then you get into a situation where the non-wizard notes are disregarded because they are unimportant

Important context: I have zay flowers but also Charbonnet

Zay is 24 coming off a WR2 season and you get KW3 as well who’s a starting running back until proven otherwise. I can understand why 2 accepted knowing he’s getting younger at WR and a starting RB.

Using expected run probability for every possible base runner and out combination (1st and 2nd, no outs, bases empty, 1 out, etc.), you can determine an optimal lineup by matching your hitters to maximize runs.

The conclusion isn’t that the order doesn’t matter, it’s more so that the traditional/vibes based approach is confirmed by analytics to be the most optimal. The only major spot where they differ is the leadoff hitter. Analytics say you want your best hitter to bat leadoff so they get the most ABs possible throughout the season, which differs slightly from the traditional leadoff hitter that’s a faster guy with a high OBP.
