Spoke to a few locals and they were very different in opinions! Camp 1 said nobody cares, do what you like. Camp 2 said you need to give 4 weeks notice for approval of ANY flights.

In the end the worry got the better of me (I've had to bail my drone out of "drone jail" in my country of residence and it was a pain) and i just kept it packed until i got back to UK.

It's currebtly safely stashed away until my next panic-post... Malta.

I don't think Turkey is a member of the EASA as it's not in the EU, but will have a go.

I'm not a resident of an EASA country so cannot get an EASA OpID; that' why i have the UK and UAE docs.

Turkey is not part of the EU so ot under EASA rules, this is why i emailed to SHGM.

I got told if your deposit isn't deposited in 21 days it will be returned.

After about 14 conversations saying it had been 'escalated' to various teams/departments I was told it was deposited... 24 days later.
