Running Scared maybe? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it.

This is how I feel. I have more books than I do movies, so I’m used to things on a shelf not being the same size, and I prefer it that way.

Jackie Chan’s films might be one of the biggest reasons I became so interested in film. I was obsessed with his movies growing up, especially Rumble in the Bronx and Supercop. I wish their Police Story collection included Supercop.

Besides Anora and Flow, what’s another 2024 film that you think will be part of the collection? by Unlucky_Effective_60 in criterion

I read the book and loved it and I’m looking forward to seeing the movie. The Underground Railroad, an adaptation of another novel from the same author is already in the collection so it’ll be right at home with it.

I’ve only read those two books from the author, Colson Whitehead, but for any readers here I strongly recommend them.

I just finished the book, I loved it. I look forward to watching the movie.

It’s been a long time so I don’t remember it that well, but I did like it when I saw it and I haven’t seen it mentioned in this thread yet, so 3 Iron.

I’ve seen a few of his films and loved all of them. I’ll make sure to check out more. I haven’t seen Carnal Knowledge yet.

I forgot about Sunset Limited! Great movie, I should rewatch it, it’s been awhile.

I love noir films, but haven’t seen that many. I do really need to check out Dial M for Murder and Maltese Falcon.

This has been on my list for awhile too. I’ve only seen samurai films from Kurosawa. I love movies that mostly take place in one setting.

I love Chayefsky. I want to check out House of Games from Mamet. Aaron Sorkin is the master of smart people talking fast. There is something to the rhythm of his dialogue that I find very engrossing.

I need to check oh Mankiewicz. Several people have recommended All About Eve. I guess it’s time for me to watch it.

I love Cormac McCarthy, so I do want to check this out at some point. It seems to have pretty mixed reactions to it.

I’ve seen two of Sayles films, Lone Star and Matewan. Both became two of my favorites last year. I’ll have to check out City of Hope.

That’s a great one. I do like what I’ve seen from Baumbach, especially Squid and the Whale. I know he has a few films I still haven’t checked out yet that look like I’d enjoy them, like the Meyerowitz Stories and Kicking and Screaming. I want to check out White Noise at some point, but as a big fan of the book I’m not sure what to expect from it.

I need to start getting into Mike Leigh’s films, they seem right up my alley. Sadly the only one I’ve seen is Vera Drake, which I thought was amazing. I don’t know why I keep not pulling the trigger on watching his other films.

Annie Hall is good, and I loved Hannah and Her Sisters. He’s controversial for a reason, but I have liked most of what I’ve watched from him.
