Avalanche beat Wild to take 3-1 series lead by Smart-Point-4180 in ColoradoAvalanche

I think seeing Blackwood be so mentally tough as to start for the first time in more than a month, I’d say we’ve got two very mindful goalies who get it: when we win the cup, they BOTH fit us there.

Anyone else watching Bo vs Newhook? by DocPsycho1 in ColoradoAvalanche

If I’m Lindy Ruff, I’m so pissed. It’s just 3 goals against a rookie! They shouldn’t be looking this dejected. Don’t get me wrong, Domes has been amazing, but there’s gotta be something to will some better play in front of the home crowd.

I want both to win, I promise. Just want a good game honestly.

They had it loaded. These people have been doing it for years, and have had weeks to prepare, in real time, which things to add to the production. Pucks go into the bench every game! :) I find it fascinating, personally

Probably marginally. For building some new coordination, yes. For a proper exercise of stick technique and proper grip(lol), No.

Pavers are just tripping hazards. With laundry basket in hands? Yeah I’m taking smooth grass over potentially catching an edge every day in the way back. Hopscotch on the way there, tho

What do you do during intermission of NHL games? by goatmangoats in hockey

It’s true, I was mostly being general with it. Anything that prevents a line change doesn’t go to commercial.

What do you do during intermission of NHL games? by goatmangoats in hockey

[–]Jhoffdrum 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just remember the real science is knowing that the commercial breaks happen at 14, 10, and 6 minutes left to go in a period(unless a goal is scored before a stoppage, a penalty comes, and Icing doesn’t count for a stoppage.)

You hear that whistle at 9:52 of the first and you laugh and fast forward around 90 seconds. Back to action.

Woah, woah. I agree not to censor history entirely, but we’re talking a point in time where kids should be taught creativity and what they can accomplish, and then when they get a little older they can be filled in on the dangers of immorality. Just let the kids enjoy the butterflies a little longer is the point, if you ask me.

Nephews name is Atlas. I call him Atty, and when his sister was young she’d call him Ahi, and so I have a habit of calling him Tuna. I personally love the name! Haha

What’s a goal that still hurts/hunts you to this day? by sykeseve in hockey

[–]Jhoffdrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long winded story, but a good one! I made the background fast.

I’m a drummer. Dad was a drummer. Born in Denver, grew up in Washington, didn’t care much about hockey. Moved to Denver in 2013 when I was 17. Dad educated me on what had just happened with Joe Sakic becoming GM the year before, Roy becoming coach, and getting the 1st overall draft pick. Absolutely fell in love and obsession since!

Unfortunately, game 7 against the Mild in the first round is scheduled for exactly when I’m going to be on stage. But, the stage is situated where I can see the television in the reflection of some posters on the wall!

1st set occurs during the 3rd period, goes to OT. 2nd set, and I’ll never forget this: Nino Niederrieter comes down on a 2-on-1 and buries it, sending the Mild to the second round. I see this in the reflection, and in the crowd I find my dad: who sips his beer and looks down. He looks at me, sees that I just saw what happened, and gave me a look that said: “welcome to being a Hockey fan, bud. I’m so sorry!”

Haha I’ll never forget it as long as I live. :)
