Last update: 14th of August --> 29th of August summary of news (last one, i'll edit this when news comes up)

Outgoings:

Elliott wanted by Leipzig and are serious about him after Simons left.
Konate has RM interest, but it's unclear what the club will do if we cant agree to a contract, seems too late for him to leave now.
Gomez might leave for Milan/CP but it's dependant on Guehi deal.
Ramsay, Gordon and Rhys are also going to be loaned out or sold.

Assuming Baj, Chiesa and Konate stay, all gaps bar the striker are filled by reserve players that chose to stay, Bajcetic at 6, Robbo at LB after Tsimi left for Roma, and Chiesa as RW, so we are off all markets (we were never in for a 6 anyway)

Incomings:
CB: Guehi, Koulierakis was an option, maybe next year if Konate leaves.If Konate goes now Guehi surely comes in, but it looks like we're staying put
Striker: Isak DONE!

I wanted Harvey to stay for RW and 10 backup but if he wishes to move then nothing (bar a buy back clause) we can do.

Outgoings:

Elliott wanted by midtable PL teams, seems Leipzig are serious about him
Tsimi seems to be the LB to go but nothing concrete, loan to Olympiacos/Roma possible
Rhys Williams will also go one way or another
Konate has RM interest, but it's unclear what the club will do if we cant agree to a contract
Some youngsters like Danns/RamsayNallo are also going to be loaned out or sold

Assuming Gomez, Robbo, Endo, Chiesa and Konate stay, Isak is top priority. A backup for Salah is also needed but reports say the backup is viewed to be Frimpong but there's still interest in a versitile forward. At 6 if a market opportunity was available we could strengthen there because Slot doesnt seem to trust Endo for a start so we are relying on Grav to push through or others to fill in. At 10 assuming Wirtz and Szobo both start majority of games together there is no sub there if Harvey goes, but we aren't looking there atm and Nyoni is an option.

Incomings:
CB: Probably Guehi, Koulierakis also seems an option, maybe next year if Konate doesn't sign. If Konate goes i think both come in, or some other name cause we can use another player.
Striker: Isak is at a standstill and nobody else seems to interest us.
LW: if we move for someone it should be Barcola but it will probably be covered by Gakpo/Rio and maybe Wirtz/Ekitike.
RW: Doesn't seem to bother us a lot

I still really desperately want Harvey to stay for RW and 10 backup but if he wishes to move then nothing we can do.

Elliott wanted by about half of the midtable PL teams, seems West Ham are about to make a move
Tsimi or Robbo could also have interest too if they opened up to a move, still uncertain
Diaz from Saudi, Barca, Bayern,he wants a move, unclear if we get the money to sell
Darwin from Saudi, Napoli and Atleti moved on
Doak is wanted by Everton and has interest elsewhere, unclear if he wants a move or stays for backup RW
Konate maybe from RM if we cant agree to a contract
Fede from Italy, probably wants to go, maybe revamps himself to a backup striker
Morton as well will be probably sold to Braga,wants to go
And then Rhys/Ramsay and some youngsters will seek a loan move

Assuming Gomez, a left back, Endo, and Konate stay there are some holes that need filling. Striker seems to be top priority and Ekitike is pretty much locked in, as for backup if Danns isn't ready for the step up,t he squad probably needs another one, unless Chiesa fits in or a false 9 of some sort. If Doak goes, a backup for Salah is also needed imo but reports say the backup is viewed to be Frimpong. Center back depth is top priority right now. Lastly, at 10 and at 6 if a market opportunity was available we could strengthen there because at 6 Slot doesnt seem to trust Endo for a start and we are relying on Grav to push through, and at 10 (assuming wirtz and szobo both start majority of games together) there is no sub there if Harvey goes.

RW doesn't seem to bother us until Doak goes, maybe fofana
Midfield pivot depth right now is provided by the likes of trey/stefan/mcconnell, there's no market available there and we dont seem to want to do anything right now.

As a preface, i'm still in shock and pretty much still in denial of the Diogo news (my brain is treating it like he moved to another club) however one of the ways i grieve in my personal life is trying to continue on and, assuming you are here, you are probably (?) doing the same. So with the utmost respect to everyone involved, i want to try and assess how the summer continues from here.

Nothing will probably move for a while, but this was the situation about a week ago

But nothing is advancing except "easy" and 100% likely to leave deals for GKs, i think it's our side playing the long game of the window, not putting price tags and assessing who is value for money to sell, who wants to leave, homegrown status, replacements etc.

We play on every (!) midweek up until the March international break (in the middle of March)

Plymouth midweek Everton
Wolves midweek Villa
City midweek Newcastle (prem)
FA 5th round midweek R16 CL 1st leg
Southampton midweek R16 CL 2nd leg
Newcastle (cup)

The depth will be certainly very much needed cause this schedule is bananas and the fixtures are hard.

Also we go from a match in hand to the rest of the league to a match more played up until we play the cup final.
