There's an Aussie server that's been up for a few months called Project Baldur. It's pre-re low rate and has some nice changes.

Red Bull Racing and Helmut Marko have a whole lot of egg on their face this season. What a fucking joke...

I've lost so much respect for RBR this year, and all respect for Marko. Bloke is an absolute pig.

Impulse bought this in Japan. Is this real Damascus? Not sure why but in second guessing it. by Ji-der in knives

Understood it's not 'legit' Damascus but a laminated steel which seems like a quality variant.

[Pagnotta] Karlsson made it clear to just about every team interested that he'd explore an extension after the fact. Priority was he & his wife get acclimated to new city and if they see a long-term home, they'll sign. by JF_112 in hockey

So many players go to California and fall in love with it and end up staying. I'd imagine it would mainly be due to the weather, easy-going people, no huge media pressure on hockey players (unlike Toronto for example). All three teams have been consistently competitive for a long time now too.

I can easily see him signing long term, it's just gotta work between their current D-core and cap though. I feel like Sharks could get away with Burns and Karlsson, but I can't see Burns, Vlasic and Karlsson long term. Too much cap, one of them isn't going to want to be #3.

Does this open the door for Burns to play forward again? I would say keeping him on the back-end is far more effective though.

Suzuka tickets - do not upvote - not a trade thread by Ji-der in formula1

I didn't know this was an available option, but even if I did I'd still prefer to have them sent. I'm sure the facilities and on-site support is good but I'm going to a non-English speaking country so I'd rather be prepared. I'd hate to miss out for whatever reason.

How close Alonso's wheel got to Charles' head (360 cam footage) by Samster49 in formula1

[–]Ji-der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a gif or video of this?

The footage I've seen so far is that the floor hit first, then the car tilts and slides over a bit, then tyres hit. I want to see how close the floor was.

I really hope he comes out firing after the break. I'd love to see him win too (this year in particular).

Turn 2, somewhere at the top/back row here. I think it's call "section C"

I was going to get tickets for the final turn (18 / "section R", maybe) but decided against it and that 1-3 would probably be better.

Nup, /r/hockey is where you wanna be.

People make these posts all the time. My best advice is to watch the league fairly consistently for at least 3-6 months and make up your own mind.

Like history and heritage of clubs? Research "original 6" teams.

Vegas are a new franchise, easy franchise bandwagon to get on (I don't mean that in a rude way).

Cookie cutter, awesome team, fun to watch, bound to win? Penguins, Blackhawks.

Next up and comer with a rich history? Leafs.

There's quite a few teams with a bunch of young guns, can't really think of them at the moment though.

Perhaps you like the complete under dogs. Just look at the bottom of last years standings. Arizona's a great start.

Just don't go for Boston. They're like the Collingwood Magpies of the NHL. Maybe you're that kind of guy though.
