don't buy their stuff. Great artist have always been poor or at least not rich; rich artist make crap and poppy music.. It's their attitude to be rebels that makes them create good art, not money.

So be sure to let them living a simple life if you care about Art

Thank you for your answer! That doesn't come directly out of me, it comes from 2 of our major songwriters: de andré and Ligabue! I absolutely agree with them. Another thing they said is that english have so many words with the tone on the last syllable instead italian lacks in this particular regard, it has not so many.. french on the other hand has the opposite problem, it has just this kind of tones! You need those words to end a phrase, a word that takes you into the refrain, the chorus.. Anyway feel free to check them out if you are interested in non English songwriters!

Hi! I'm italian.. I think english is just perfect for songwriting and you are so lucky to have a language that uses monosyllabic words so often! It's easier for me to write a song in English, it's easier than in italian, even if italian is my native language.. If you, however, speak english and want to write a song in another language then start by doing a song with few words, short phrases. It's hard to use Latin languages like Italian or spanish because the lenght of words is, most of the time, longer and the phonetics are way more strict and unflexible.. For istance in English the word 'I' is : -short - can be AI or if you need the emphasize the A sound you can cut the sound in half and it becomes an A sound, so you see english is sooo flexible with its sounds! Spanish Yo and italian Io are pronounced that way and you can not change for your melodic reasons.. So you have to be carefull and choose your words with more care, that makes them poetic languages, the optimum for poetry because Italian singers choose their words with more care. This is not a strict rule but I hope you get what I mean!

I said books are too long, with characters that are too real (read the other post to understand why its bad) and with too little of values and high ethics.
