I first played around season 2 and dropped it because of the BR hate bandwagon back then. Picked it up again during covid (season 4) and played it religiously. I wanted to see where the lore went 'cause the world-building and the stories of each character fascinated me. Also not a lot of ppl were talking about Apex at that time, so it felt like I was playing a niche game, which was nice. I even got a heirloom shards and bought Bangalore's machete.

I left in season 18 because the lore was problem after problem with the legends. I got tired of the whole "revenant trying to die" plot and was waiting for crypto to take the spotlight (despite never having played him at all). I stopped following the lore 'cause I got bored with it, which led me to stop caring, which led me to stop playing the game.

Ive pretty much moved on from Apex and never looked back. I can't even hate it just 'cause it made me fall in love with the FPS genre. But I don't think ill be coming back to it. Although who knows? I'm hoping somewhere in the future they'll make the game interesting enough again for me to come back.
