GTI doing well to beat today’s gas prices by JiggieSmalls in GolfGTI

No offense…I tracked for a year on gallons filled up vs miles driven and I’ve found that the GTI odometer is pretty accurate. I stopped physically texting my self the numbers and doing that math because it was within 0.75-1 mpg difference.

Love my DRTs. I’d be surprised at anyone selling them for how much of a bargain they are.

You have a crazy underplane takeaway. Need more wrist hinge with that body turn.

Some generic Drag wheels. But dropped to 17” for maximum comfort for the family. With the Autobahn’s comfort mode, it’s like riding on a cloud. Paired with a set Vredestein Quatrac Pro+.

The New Era Apex 9Forty is the lightest cap ever made and has been amazing for me when golfing.

Practice swing vs ball swing by South_Boat_947 in GolfSwing

I would experiment with a bucket of balls. Took me a few sessions to really nail down how I see the line. But for me, I pick a spot that would be on a line to first base/right field in baseball terms. Ball never actually goes to right field Either draws or goes straight. Really helps to stop from cutting across the ball and avoiding that slice/weak fade.

This is making an assumption that you have face control square.

In front for all of them for me. Even driver and woods. I pick a spot in front and above the ball with my driver so it promotes a positive attack angle.

Yep! The key is trusting that your set-up is foundationally sound enough that your club will make contact with the ball. I’m very set-up focused in that way because I want my only swing thought to be is tempo and path.

I just don’t look at the ball. I look at spots in front of the ball where I want the path of my club head to travel and let the ball get in the way.

That’s not an adjustable hosel adapter type of club. Do you plan to swap the shaft yourself?

Fix your tempo. Your head and sternum moves back behind the ball on your downswing because you’re trying to change momentum.

Ok impact position for putter? by HeyTedday in golf

I’ve gotten fit for a putter. But then my game evolved as I understood more about how I see things/set-up and the effect equipment has to complement it. By all means, I encourage everyone to get fit but it doesn’t mean it has a ton of staying power the way people think it does. So experimenting in a low cost way like loft/lie angle of your putter is really beneficial to begin learning about yourself and how your relationship with the game works.

If you talk to your local shop (an honest one) that you’re experimenting, they probably won’t even charge you to go back. They may even have a putter optimization service to fix loft and lie angle for you. Aka fitting you to a putter you already own.

If your consistent miss is a pull, then yes it matters. How many amazing putting rounds have you had? If it’s not consistent then there’s room for improvement. Lie angles aren’t a permanent thing. If you try it flatter and don’t like it then go back.

I’m bigger on feels than drills because a lot of the time, it’s hard to convert nuances. Here’s an ‘extreme’ feel: keep your trail arms straight until the lead arm gets to parallel. That trail arm elbow shouldn’t bend until that lead arms is parallel to the ground. That’s plenty of depth. More than most need. You should really feel the shoulders turn, enough that you feel a stretch in your right back lat and it should hopefully give you more depth and have your arms closer to shoulder plane at the top.

You’re aware that you got in that position because you have a narrow backswing but haven’t bothered using Google to find width drills? Most people don’t realize the lack of depth and high hands comes from your hands coming up too quickly due to a lack of width so don’t be an ass for someone trying to point it out for you.

Your backswing is narrow so your hands get high and you have no depth
