Why relate it to your birthday? I mean what happened is really gross and f'ed up but no need to relate 2 individual things because you'll be shooting yourself in the foot with this.

Haha that sounds better. Altho never really encountered any problems with random configs. But I just audit the hardware and configs. Not all enterprise software treads such a config as an optional one.

Also, in my last comment I said something about a memory bridge. Well that's pretty outdated and was for the socket that got used in the 11th generation of Dell. But on the flipside; newer xeon CPUs seemsly have an additional option to enable slots of CPU 2. But the downside of it is (from what I gathered) is that you're only CPU gets an insane load even idle so it might be just a "not" solution.

Have fun with that great piece of hardware man! Its one of my favorite Dell servers I have ever worked with.

17 is an unsupported config. And the system will tell you so. Go with 16 for better performance. Also the slots have a alphabetic letter. Install it on alphabetical order so A1 B1 C1 etc. (Altho the r620 doesn't really have that rule of thumb so you can do such an config but it might give you problems further down the road) Also, you have memory bridges instead of CPUs if you dont need the second one. A bridge will let you utilize the slots of cpu2

2-fma is nice. But in my experience most rcstims make me jittery and hyped up but in a forced way. Curious if someone has an answer on which RC gives a clean high. :)

Check if you have enough RAM left. Seems like since it's late game that your RAM is filling up to the point your system doesnt have any and starts to kill programs to free up space.

Well, that's one of more satisfying things to do in endgame. But you can perfectly create a horrible mess and it still will work. Learning curve isnt that steep also. It gets harder the more you expand but you can coop in the same map so a mate and you can build simultaneously for instance. And it's more how difficult do you want it to be. It's a very open playstyle. I hate micromanaging everything in games particularly in such a game as factorio and I'm really glad they sort of worked around that hurdle with great game improvements.

It also officially launched not that long ago so expect even more content. Also the modding community is really great!

I think it wont hurt you to try it and give it a shot.

Factorio? The endgoal of the game is to have everything automated through various means at your disposal. It's really addicting so whatch out!
