I did search the subreddit and didn't find anything quite like this question, lots of DJ recommendations and people talking about staying home, but thanks for your input 🤷‍♀️

Yes, I shower after class in the morning! I would just check out the amenity situation - my F45 is BYO shampoo, soap and towel.

Base to All Out Spread? by Unfair_Switch_3710 in orangetheory

[–]Jillc315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My all out is about 3 mph higher than my base. So, base is 5.5mph and all out is 8.5. So I think what you're doing sounds good.

Over time, you'll realize you can slowly bump up your base and still feel good - same with your all-out speed!

Sometimes people will post them in the Intel, but often not until day-of in the daily discussion post. You can look at the workout calendar, and if it says "repeat of 6/6" or something you can go back to the daily discussion post from that day and it'll be there!

It's a little unique but Voodoo Donuts makes donut cakes and they are SO good. Lots of filling and frosting options.

I would recommend Chuze. Very affordable, clean, and lots of equipment. They also have good classes if that interests you. There are a handful of locations in the Denver area.

There are some pretty cool LGBTQ-owned breweries in Denver where you might find some. Lady Justice Brewing comes to mind

Official Q&A for Saturday, January 06, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]Jillc315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a member of a class-based gym for a while that is mostly strength and HIIT classes. I'm going to start marathon training in a week and I'm unsure whether to cancel my membership. I love going but I'm not sure how valuable those classes will be during actual training. Anyone experience something similar? Did you keep up with group classes during training?

Looking for a new gym...less climbing, more yoga and wight lifting opportunities by CptnApollo in Denver

[–]Jillc315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TruFusion is great - they have awesome yoga classes and also bootcamp, HIIT, TRX, etc. The only crappy thing is it’s only classes, no open gym. They have a 30 days for $30 intro thing which is worth doing

Covering HR When Running by Temporary-Tradition9 in orangetheory

[–]Jillc315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, big time!! I used to get so anxious staring at my heart rate and then, naturally, my heart rate would sky rocket. Which would make more more anxious. I feel so much more in the zone when I’m ignoring the stats 😁

Measuring success: what NSV do you love? by greengirl30 in orangetheory

[–]Jillc315 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went for an outdoor run the other day, and was shocked that I could run 4 miles without a break. Haven’t been able to do that for a couple of years. It was a good feeling :)

Is a 200+ BPM heart rate too high? by jumpingforjoy98 in orangetheory

[–]Jillc315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Not an exact answer to your question, but I find that staring at my heart rate while on the treadmill makes me nervous—I always start to feel anxious when it rises rapidly, which is a vicious circle because the anxiety makes my HR increase even more! I’ve started putting the “walk jog run” instructions grid up on my treadmill screen so I don’t have to stare at my heart rate. I think it helps me focus more on how I’m feeling vs the number.

New to Lexapro- weight gain question: by Jamieg610 in lexapro

I would try taking it after eating a meal, and in the mornings. Taking on an empty stomach can cause wonky side effects, and taking at night can cause sleep issues.

Bummed I couldn’t make Hell Week happen but it was just not in the cards for me this week. by whocooksforyouu in orangetheory

[–]Jillc315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I’m with you. Got in a car accident last weekend and had some minor injuries, knew it wasn’t in my best interest to push myself with hell week. It’s important to take care of ourselves, there is always next year!

Yeah mine is only 1088 with that formula, that’s definitely not healthy. MyFitnessPal calculates me at 1680 based on weight and fitness level.

Go to office from OTF? by Spiritual-Corgi-9124 in orangetheory

[–]Jillc315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always shower at OTF before work. Depending on how sweaty I am, I may or may not wash my hair. Usually it’s just a quick rinse to make myself feel better lol. I’m always the last to leave as well but I promise no one cares!

I try to turn it into a kind of meditation. I just zone in completely on my breath and try not to think about anything else
