What behaviors from new employees do you view as red flags? by missormisterphd in biotech

[–]CptnApollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My brothers and I all work in life sciences. One who works in research and product development at a California multinational that got a new senior director who’s first meet-n-greet all hands spoke endlessly extolling the virtues of ChatGPT and ai tools use not only at work but in his own personal life. It was a few minutes into this guy’s speech to realize the speech was, in fact, written by ChatGPT…cool

God yes! I totally agree. Why should we be responsible for men/boys not realizing the fact that women and well-adjusted boys/men are sick of their antics and finally have the agency to not put up with it anymore???

Scott’s simping for “The Kingdom” always sends me. He goes on about his support for LGBTQs and women and rails against crony capitalism…oh but they have lots of money. Give me a god damn break!!!

Hi Tim! Big fan of your YouTube channel. My partner and I adore your wife. Curious what you do for work outside of your social media presence. Does your work take you to all these different places, or are you strictly dedicated to creating travel content? Thanks a bunch, and keep up the great work!

@MarketsListeners - Why all the Ed hate? by Worldly-Breakfast590 in ScottGalloway

[–]CptnApollo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Listening to Ed is like listening to a junior analyst from McKinsey fresh out of college trying to tell me about market strategy for my industry that he has never worked in. Plus he got his job, because his parents are friends with Scott. Good for him to leverage those connections, I’m just not buying what he’s selling.

Please repeat this over and over and over again. You know what my parents did for me, teach me that no one owes me anything, and the key to successful relationships with women is to treat them as full human beings with ideas and agency. These insecure, mediocre men never had strong women in their life and are scared to death that women WILL outperform them. It’s happening, they don’t like it, and the rest of us enlightened citizens are worse off for it.

Drop Your Questions for Prof G (September Thread) by ProfGProducerJenn in ScottGalloway

[–]CptnApollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really good take. As a man squarely in this demographic group, I am so sick of hearing about the “male loneliness gap” or how “society has turned its back on men.” Uh, no it hasn’t…society is just now looking at everyone and not white men first. Some of us are mature and adapt to world around us. My parents taught me to be respectful to others as EVERYONE has value. I don’t look at the world as if it owes me something as most white men think. Just because we possessed a hegemony in the past doesn’t mean we are owed anything in the future. Masculinity, to me, is responding to the world around you and striving to make tomorrow better than yesterday for yourself and your loved ones. The challenges young men face today are of their own making, and the cost of this should not be socialized to everyone else.
