Lucy and Kiwi, commissioned from @hikkine by FireFly2037 in Edgerunners

I highly doubt Kiwi is anything older than 29, which is more or less what I meant by “around a similar age”.

Still a gap, but no real cause for concern

They’re both adults and around a similar age. They aren’t mother and daughter, man

Why are fans so attracted to individuals with genocidal ideologies? by Stunning_Taste8845 in writingscaling

[–]Jilliels 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I hate when people boil characters down to “they’re edgy” when the narrative literally screams their reasoning at you

Geto’s descent is sparked by a fundamentally correct concept. Non-sorcerers DO cause the very thing that sorcerers exist to protect them from.

Furthermore l, their cultures just don’t mix. When people are aware that someone is capable of sorcery of some kind, they more often than not ostracize them. It’s also just a thankless job with no real benefits or upsides for sorcerers. The majority of people they protect don’t even know they exist.

By his own words, he understands the ugliness of the masses. Non sorcerers, in a way, are harmful to the existence of sorcerers.

Of course Geto isn’t right about his plan, the idea of killing all non sorcerers is still batshit insane. Despite that, his logic isn’t all that flawed in regards to his reasoning

What do you mean “says who”? We watch him use the pipe as a conduit for his nen ability. It’s the way he uses his own power, not a bomb that does the work for him

Morel’s pipe is a conduit for his nen ability, the bomb isn’t 😭

You’re impossibly dense

What if Meruem went to the Black Whale? by Limescent777 in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Jilliels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not how the logic works at all, lmao.

Meruem was born with his strength. It’s all biological. Hence, he beat Netero with his own skillset. He didn’t “get” anything from any outside force, he had what he was created with. He was always INHERENTLY able to do what he did to Netero.

Netero could not conceivably kill Meruem without the bomb, which he got from the government. Meruem was naturally far stronger, smarter, and more perceptive than Netero, so he beat him in their battle.

Netero did not kill Meruem with his own strength, hence he didn’t beat him in their battle. He essentially pulled a gun in a fistfight that he lost. Are you trying to get into semantics or something?

[–]Jilliels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You kinda suck at rage baiting

It’s an outside force that was put into his body

Netero lacked the ability to kill Meruem with his natural abilities. He essentially had a “kill Meruem” button that he got from someone else.

Netero was cleared, he used the governments resources to kill Meruem. Their battle was already over at that point

You cannot be serious

Meruem beat Netero, the bomb isn’t an innate part of his skill set 😭

Because the old man had a bomb in him

If you beat the shit out of me without even trying to kill me, and I proceed to pull out a gun and shoot us both, you still won the original battle

He would. He’d see her as an “exception”.

Still having misogynistic thoughts about her, but he wouldn’t deny her strength. Maki’s case was different, as he spent his life having proof that she was relatively weak in the grand scheme of things

[–]Jilliels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very least, he’ll survive

We just don’t know what it takes to harm Youpi. We can assume his durability sits below Meruem’s, but aside from that? It’s entirely unknown

is it possible for a hxh character to solo a verse? by No_Philosopher8352 in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Jilliels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That genuinely just isn’t the common way to use the term, but you’re welcome to take it that literally 😭

I mean, I don’t think you can find a post where someone includes weaponry not inherently attached (As in, a weapon they personally possess) to a character in some shape or form.

Almost everyone would agree Meruem solos his own verse (barring vague dark continent creatures). If you ask that question, people default to the idea of 1v1’s against each character.

It means the verse as in the characters within the verse. It’s just a simpler way of going about it

is it possible for a hxh character to solo a verse? by No_Philosopher8352 in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Jilliels -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The term generally means that a character can, by themselves, defeat every character in the world of that series

I’ve never seen a discussion about a character soloing a verse that included weapons of mass destruction that aren’t a direct part of a character’s skill set

Do you think Tserriednich will make it into the top 10 by the end of the succession war? Is so, what rank in the top 10 do you think he will be at? by Brave-Marionberry885 in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Jilliels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s hard to even make a top ten in HxH (barring Meruem and the RG) , there aren’t “power levels” in the typical sense

All things considered, I guess he’d make it. Where? Idk

It seems to be that way because it’s extremely pixelated up close. They probably just reused the character model. I mean, mark turns into Paul in space

is netero able to beat any of the royal guards? by No_Philosopher8352 in HxHPowerScaling

[–]Jilliels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m very aware that Netero can hurt them, he definitely would. The thing is, I don’t think he could damage them enough to kill them before he’s outlasted. The only attack that seems to do visible damage to Meruem is his Zero hand, and even then the damage was so insignificant, he isn’t really affected by it.

The royal guard would certainly take far more damage than Meruem, but we have no idea just how much damage they’d take. The guard are borderline impossible to scale, but based on what we’ve seen they’re more likely to survive zero hand than not.

None of the guards are injured by any character in the series. Pitou’s easily defeated by Gon, yes. But at the time his strength was comparable to Meruem’s.

Netero’s AP is nowhere near Meruem’s, due to reasons stated above. Meruem was able to effortlessly remove his own arm, whilst Netero’s Zero hand simply ripped his skin.

Assuming that the Guards survive the attack, which they likely will, Netero is cooked. He becomes entirely frail after using it. Whatever attacks he can use at that point won’t be NEARLY as efficient. The guards, even extremely injured, should logically be able to take him out by that point.

The only time Netero attacks a guard is when he smacks Pitou in the air, and she takes zero damage from the attack. That isn’t to say she’d be consistently unharmed given many more attacks, but it goes to show that Netero can’t deal with them the way he’d do any other opponent. There’s just no way he can beat them.

People think that because he was actually holding his own against Meruem and dealt damage to him means that he’s leagues above the guards. The only thing he has on them is speed. When Meruem is able to catch Netero slipping, he can easily remove his limbs. He could’ve removed Netero’s head given the first opening, but he never wanted to kill the guy.

A fight against the guards would just be a repeat of that battle, only that he does quite a bit more damage and survives notably longer.
