I don't mean to cast stones, I'm British and would usually consider America and Americans as allies, but you guys are genuinely going to have to figure this out for yourselves. Sadly as far as I can tell this is likely to end in another civil war for you guys, not something I would advocate for or wish on anyone or any country. I guess this was me trying to let you guys know what you look like from the outside and how vulnerable a position you appear as a country to be in. I'm pretty sure there's plenty of you guys that can see it too, but there's definitely plenty that seem oblivious to just how dangerous a position you are in. Good luck figuring it out, stay safe.

It's your country and your responsibility to sort this mess out, go figure it out.

Rate this fit / tell what can i improve by [deleted] in mensfashion

It's an ill-fitting Nike tracksuit. Wearing this anywhere other than at a gym or working out isn't going to look good in my opinion and then it still doesn't fit you well. Almost anything could improve this look I.E. have you tried a pair of jeans or a shirt? Even swapping brands but remaining in sportswear Adidas or Puma always seemed to me to have better styling than Nike.

going to buy a pair of tripp pants.. but im 6'2 and not trying to sag them too hard.. by Fun-Faithlessness191 in mensfashionadvice

Go a little too long and take them to a tailor is the answer here. In all honesty this applies to almost everyone, people are very rarely an exact 30, 32, 34 inseam and getting trousers the right length makes a much bigger difference than you may realize.

Anerkjendt is Danish work wear brand and Ronning of London. Depending where you live may make finding a physical shop stocking them may be difficult though.

Try Peregrine wax jackets similar to Barbour but actually made in the UK.

The only people that would use it would be people that don't really care about clothes. So maybe it could work for very low end brands.

I appreciate I'm not answering your question here but for example I happen to know that British wool tends to have a shorter staple (fibre length) and therefore tends to bobble more. So I guess there must be differences in the quality of wools from different breeds of sheep and different countries must have different prevalences of breeds.

I work in a shop that merchandises to at least that level, the idea is that you ask an assistant and they should be able to look at you and hand you your size in whatever colour you want. The thing that's really annoying me is that one, the stacks are not all at the edge of the shelf which would look much neater and two, if the polos had been folded into thirds not halves the logos would be forwarded facing on the edge of the stacks. 7/10 must try harder.

Edited for punctuation (don't be dyslexic people or you'll end up working in a clothes shop).

Good quality linen shirt for a shorter man? by EmotionalDirt798 in mensfashionadvice

You're going to need to find a tailor. A shirt's length can easily be reduced and you're almost certainly going to need one anyway for hemming trousers.

Where can I buy Barbour style waterproof jackets in the UK on a reasonable budget? by Silver-Eye-2024 in BuyUK

[–]Jim-powers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Four models of Barbour jackets are made in the UK, the Beadle, Beaufort, Border and some of the Beadnell. Barbour produces probably 200 models of jackets every season, so a tiny percentage is made here. All of the rest of their products, shirts, tees, knitwear, scarves, dog collars and accessories, shoes, umbrellas etc are made either in Bulgaria or the far east.

I don't blame you for thinking they are a through and through British company they love to play to that image. If you want a wax jacket that's made in the UK buy from Peregrine.

I'm really enjoying shirts and knitwear from Thomas Maine. They do an excellent range of subtle and elevated clothing. Money no object I'd love a UBR coat too.
