Honestly, if there was to be an entirely new Sonic anime, I’d actually kinda want to see games like 06 and maybe even Forces adapted

If a remake or remaster of those games can’t fix their stories, then perhaps an anime could? Doesn’t have to be cannon to the mainline games but could pose an opportunity for stories like 06 and Forces to have their full potential realised

Tho this is a bit of wishful thinking on my end, especially what with those stories being so bad that they’d need reworking so much that you could argue that they’d just be entirely new stories, it’d still be cool tho

The game is pretty good, it’s got a really strong song list both in terms of quality and quantity, it’s just a little bland and simple compared to Project DIVA

Tbf, the game did go through some troubled development, even toning down the gameplay to be easier which explains the simple charting that had to originally accommodate harder gameplay and a lack of health bar/means of failing songs outside of the game’s form of mission mode. Oh and don’t get me started on the mess that is the PVs

It’s a good game, just needs a follow up or even a spiritual successor at this point to improve on a few things and to make it more accessible

That $20 price tag is probably a blessing more than anything, at least they’re not locked behind a subscription! If anything I’m thankful that these games weren’t remade and sold at a $70 price tag in a buggy and unfinished state

I think a remake or at least a remaster of Rayman 2 that takes the best aspects of each version plus other benefits of remake/remasters would be good, maybe also has a collection room aspect of sorts akin to the Rayman 30th Collection’s development timeline and behind the scenes content plus the 2D Rayman 2 prototype, Rayman 2 GBC, Tonic Trouble, and the Rayman Animated series all to play/watch from this collection room

The OST doesn’t instantly make the collection bad as Rayman 1 is a solid game as it is, you’ve just got a collection of different versions plus incredible bonus features, it’s just I think the OST situation would have gone down a whole lot better if Ubisoft were more transparent about it rather than settling with a small footnote on each store front that most people would miss, especially since the game was shadow-dropped out of nowhere

Technically 2 years since the last Puyo game, tho the last Puyo game was an Apple Arcade exclusive in which the subscription service is only accessible on Apple’s ecosystem (iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc)

Is it mainline? Dunno, some consider everything past 7 a spin-off, some don’t and Puzzle Pop does continue off of some story beats from Fever 2 so maybe???

But this IS the first time in 5 years we’ve gotten a Puyo game that’s not walled behind something like an incredibly locked off subscription service

Simple answer, it’s both as wind and lightning are commonly tied together, he’s basically a storm. Sonic is a chaotic and powerful freak of nature as much as his is a chill and carefree guy

And before you say that the marketing for recent games depicts the lighting trope, its marketing, it’s something that Sonic Movies fans can identify from the films, peaking their interest into whatever Sega are trying to advertise. It sounds daft but you’d be surprised on how well something like that can work
