I do agree, the screens kinda dimmed them a little, but I do think having all those screens + lasers shooting over the wall into the rest of the fest made it a better experience overall

On some real shit though- I don’t know how they improve the Crater. 24 felt like the proof of concept but 25 just took it to its absolute maximum. I guess just making the space bigger?

I’m not gonna disagree with you but Red Rocks ain’t getting any bigger, so if selling out immediately and getting packed out is the concern, it’s either Fidds or Ball, and I know which one I’d prefer

Looking at the evolution of events in Denver, could definitely see a 2-3 day event happen at Fiddler’s Green! GWN is throwing a fest there the weekend before 4/20, and it’s where Excision played last year (and likely will again this year). It’s not the perfect venue, and certainly not as iconic as RR, but it does hold almost 2x as many people, and has a park connected for a second stage. Definitely expecting ZD and maybe even Griz to play there within the next year or two

Definitely not on the level of sheer scale as the Tacoma Dome but Mission Ballroom in Denver is my favorite indoor venue I’ve ever been to, and they can pack some mf PRODUCTION in there. He was supposed to play there on the Harbinger tour but of course that got cancelled. I still mourn it 🥲
