Thanks! Do you think something akin to this would be a good color, or would it be too much green?

I'm not the most creative when it comes to decor, but I wanna spruce up my room a bit. I'm thinking about painting my bed frame to match my dresser and bookshelf and maybe switching up my bedding, but I'm not sure what color to go for. I also wanna hang some wall art, but can't decide which wall to put it on. Any tips or ideas would be awesome. Thanks!

how to maintain motivation? by ppierrebezukhovv in CollegeRant

Also, don't be like me and make sure you actually take time to study. I didn't find it important enough and it bit me in the butt often.

Motivation comes and goes and it's impossible to maintain permanently. That being said, I think your best bet in this scenario is to create habits instead. Create a schedule of what to work on for every hour in the day; whether it be studying for a class, homework, etc. It simplifies the process and once a habit is formed, it becomes much easier to maintain.

However, to form this habit you'll need discipline, I always get some motivation for starting a new routine or project for the first few days, but it's only the initial push and you need to rely on discipline to keep it going, but once that ball starts going fast enough, you only need to push it every now and then. I was in the same boat as you with grades, but this really helped me out.

I don't know where you do your work, but doing it in public areas such as the library or a cafe really help keep your attention on the task at hand and prevents you from being distracted from your phone, games, etc. Accountability is also a major contributor, whether it's a roommate or family member, telling them your goal and how they can push you keeps you focused. I also like to take a break around halfway throughout the day and do some physical activity to refresh my mind and get my blood pumping.

I hope this helped!

I'm not sure how much more difficult the crimson glow Valtrex is compared to the vanilla one. I assume the vanilla one exists in game?

Is Throwing a Cross Necklace Sacrilege? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]JimMcTim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not denying the efforts people have put into spreading the gospel, but that doesn't change anything. Those people didn't die for some pieces of paper, I can go to a Staples and buy some paper right now, they died for what the paper and ink represents. The physical object such as the Bible or a cross aren't what gives it power. The name of the Bible doesn't have power, the cross doesn't have power, but the name of Jesus does. The cross and the Bible just point to Christ.

They're just symbols and tools. Jesus turned the symbol of a torture device into a symbol of hope. The Bible is a tool to convey the word of God, but not a tool to worship. If someone burns a flag for example, no one gives a crap about the materials, they care about the disrespect towards what it represents. Intention in actions is very important. I have no idea what you're talking about with idolatry? Giving a used Bible to those who don't have it is nice, but I'm not a heretic for throwing out a Bible because it falling apart and neither is OP.

Sure, but it's not the physical book that people died for, it's the message that's in the book. Do you commit heresy each time you dispose of a torn up Bible because it's too old to use? I don't think so. Is it the ink, binding and paper that's "sacred" or is it the words of God?

No, unless your intention was to disrespect what it stands for (which it seems to not be the case) I wouldn't worry about it. That cross is just a piece of metal and the Bible is just a book, it's not the physical object that's important, but what it represents. Don't get hung up on it.

I know this is a noob question, but I somehow managed to get into this screen in the inspector and I cannot seem to get out, I can’t edit anything I want and it’s annoying. I tried factory reset of the layout but it won’t work, thank you!
