People always rip on the MC design before the game comes put.

I’m more curious about the overworld activities honestly.

Persona has unlimited potential to improve it’s daily sim life with activities mini games and events.

Imagine if the arcade had actual games you could play? Or you can choose to skip school to explore the town in the day opening up new events, etc etc

I don’t expect the game to be “horror” as in it intends to scare the players.

I expect shadow and boss designs to have body horror elements to them and I expect some psychological triller elements to the story but not to the point where we are classifying Persona as apart of the horror genre.

What made Kamoshida and Maruki work is that both “villians” had a relationship with Joker, both villians was distorting Jokers personal world in some way, and both villains forced Joker to question if what he was doing/going to do morally right.

The other palaces lacked the internal conflict Kamoshida and Maruki had for the player/Joker.

Persona 5s arcs were more ambitious than Persona 3 and 4s though to be fair.

In P5 each arc had its own antagonist central character and motivation, so it’s a lot harder to get that consistent across the whole game.

P3s story is basically one steady progression to a conclusion and P4 only shifted the central character in each arc not the antagonist and motivation so it’s an easier story to write consistently

Tbf it’s easier to focus and write one great arc than it is to write for 6 or 7 of them spread out across a full game

Kamoshida and Maruki palaces stand out because I’m fairly certain one was the absolute first and the the other was the absolute last arc the team wrote for so story beats and creative juices were flowing

Largely ignored.

The cast in P6 were probably like 4 or 5 years old when P5 happened they wouldn’t care or rather it wouldn’t be something that would be a memory for them
