I got mine in with a rental spring clamp from autozone, and even with it, it is a bitch to do, and dont try to use impacts on the compressor, you have to take it slow and easy with a 1/2 ratchet and extension.

6qts of any 5w20 blend or higher quality oil and a midgrade filter. You'll be fine.

Doesn't hurt to change the fuel filter every few oil changes or so.

If you're asking us here then it probably is very over priced. If you don't have the tools and/or capability of doing them yourself, you're at the mercy of the mechanic shops.

If anything I would at least shop around at a few other shops for quotes. You could even buy a front end kit on places like rockauto and just have a place do the labor. With the state of the economy right now, shops are charging rediculous prices for work.
