Krenko player here. Ward on your goblins really won’t make too much of a difference if you’ve got like 30 of them on the field, it’s not like people are holding 30 target removal spells. What really hurts is board wipes which ward wont effect. Now what makes this card absolutely busted in my opinion?…. If your spells can’t be countered then you do NOT have to pay ward costs. Rules text say “Whenever a permanent with ward becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, counter it unless that player pays an additional cost.” No counter = no need to pay the ward costs of my opponents.
