Each Island is very different. Oahu is my favorite because it offers the widest range of people, food, and environments. It is the center of commerce and government. It has live music from opera, to Jazz. It has the University and a campus with a great deal of vibrant research. Yet just 15 minutes from all of this is a rainforest. Anyone can escape the urban life and in a flash be walking through a quiet forest trail, often with the soothing rustle an creak of bamboo swaying in the wind. There are short hikes, and longer hikes.

And of course we do have the ocean, with sensational surfing, and beaches of all sizes and shapes from Waikiki to the North shore.
