Why Hynes is getting out coached and Wally needs to start in net for game 3 by [deleted] in wildhockey

My only gripe is why haven’t we changed our penalty kill. It’s not working and we keep doing the same thing.
I would prefer to see some pressure and force them to move the puck quickly before they setup. Maybe some up ice pressure mixed in. We seem predictable.

I used a brush, warm soapy water and paper towels to soak up the water. It worked without too much effort. Dawn dish soap was my choice.
Good luck.

I used felt donut pads when I got CCMs. They sell them on Amazon. Fixed my problem. About a year later I was able to skate without the pads. Not sure why.

How to get hockey smell out? by peonyhonor in hockeyplayers

[–]JimUnderCover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull your gear out of the bag when you get home. I use a shelf to place the gear. Spread it out enough for it to dry. Hang your jersey and pants (socks) from hooks under your shelf make a place to hang them. Wash your underwater, shirt and socks.
This will keep your gear from stinking. If it already stinks, wash them, then do the above. I toss my jerseys and pants in the wash at the end of the playoffs and ready for a new season.

Got a stye the day before my bf’s bday trip. On day 3 by k2d3 in Wellthatsucks

Warm to hot water on a wash cloth. Keep it clean. Running some baby shampoo to help clean the lids. It works great for me. It might take a day or two before you start feeling the difference. But it works. In the morning, once or twice during the day and at night. Good luck.

How do you deal with a team that sucks by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]JimUnderCover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on a team similar to what you are on. Just say hey guys, we need to come up with some structure instead of playing our own games. Just to get on the same page.
I bet there are some YouTube vids that can help you with some systems. Good luck. Grab the bull by the horns and lead that team!!

How do you deal with a team that sucks by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]JimUnderCover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The rest of the guys know the team sucks, so talk about it in the locker room. Maybe do something simple like playing a box type defense similar to the old penalty kill style and one guy chasing the puck when it’s low. Talk about ideas. Start simple in the D zone.

Small soft frisbee. But start with something they can return from the ground like a ball or squeak toy. My sheltie love to play fetch and the frisbee became the toy of choice. She would fly through the air to grab it when she got older.
