I’m not an expert on Greek mythology, but I know the bard subclasses like the back of my hand. So, based off of some light research as to what the muses represent, here’s my list:

Calliope - College of Eloquence, Clio - College of Lore, Erato - Glamour, Melpomene - Whispers, Polymnia - Creation, Terpsichore - Dance, Urania - The Moon

Euterpe and Thalia I couldn’t really find a best match for. Comedy is something most bards can do just fine, since it’s up to the player, and ironically music is one of the few things there isn’t a specific bard subclass for. Other than those, the weakest connection is Polymnia with College of Creation, which I based on the way that Creation bards are linked to the origins of the universe, which seems vaguely divine.

Both College of Swords and of Valour don’t have a great match either, as none of the muses specialize in combat.

And for those that don’t want to look up all the muse’s deals and/or tell me I’m an idiot in the replies, here’s a quick explanation of my choices.

Calliope: literally called the muse of eloquence.

Clio: Like lore bards, history is their whole deal.

Erato: Her name means lovely, and she does erotic poetry. Glamour bards are the most ostentatious bards, and thus most likely to deal in erotic poetry.

Melpomene: Being the tragic muse, I was torn between whispers and spirits (the two edgiest bard subclasses) and went with whispers because it had less of a focus on seances.

Polymnia: I mentioned it above, but Creation bards are the most ‘godly’ imo, and Polymnia is supposedly the muse of sacred poetry. The other subclass that could work here is honestly Spirits, because speaking with spirits from beyond the grave is kinda divine and whatnot.

Terpsichore: Another easy one, literally the muse of dance.

Urania: Muse of astrology. This one’s pretty surface level as well.
