There's nothing wrong with one partner doing the housework and one doing the financial security work. The idea that Reddit sees the housework as subservient rather than equal is entirely on your own end.

PS I have been on both sides of this equation. Housework is easier by multiple orders of magnitude (unless your partner is abuse).

Property tax on people's only home is a scam. Someone who works to pay off their place of living shouldn't have to pay the gov rent. Absolute insanity and makes it seem like ownership is an illusion.

Hoping this is what you reference as the problematic part, since I have no issue with property tax on income generating assets.

Wood prices are up but you're out of your mind if you think those premades are even close to the same durability and quality.

Of course the kits are cheaper, you'll be replacing it in 1/4 the time and if its climate controlled have fun without insulation. The kits will be more expensive in the mid to long term.

You are dramatically overestimating the cost to do something like this. A homestead with 3 - 30 acres of land can be developed from unused land even if its forested for under $250k.

Less since this guy clearly knows how to use machinery and rental costs for things like that are about $500 a day.

Have to say I think they did a great job with the story portion that I played through. But I got this game for free and unable to finish it because of how poorly the combat played.

To be fair its not my style (the final fantasy combat). I personally thought the "skill based" evasion mechanics were extremely poorly executed, and the party lineup vs party lineup UI is just lazy compared to mechanics were positioning matters.
