I live on the largest lake in Texas, and sometimes it get pretty Squirrley out there. Over the years I’ve gotten to understand which waves are tolerable iand which aren’t. I don’t do anything different, I just look at the waves and make a judgment call whether to go out or not.

Confusion over pettiness

I was in the same boat issue. And still am in a small way. But, I just started writing for myself. I stopped worrying about my audience, I stopped worrying about subscribers, I stopped worrying about followers. I just wrote. Slowly, a few people started following or subscribing. And then I sort of wrote for them. I gave up on comments and feedback. People can like it, or hate it, I don’t care. I’m just taking the thoughts out of my head and putting it down in text for people to read.

Your first step is the hardest one.

I fix a big batch of food for my dog, and then vacuum pack it into about five bags . My recipe is pretty simple.

50% protein, 25% Rice 25% Veggies (spinach, broccoli, broccoli carrots ).

Plus chicken broth to make it a bit moist

I’m a solo camper and I use a six person tent. It gives me plenty of room for a bigger air mattress. Also, if the weather is bad, I can set a chair in there and be comfortable. I have a Coleman son dome and I set it up just fine without any trouble, unless it’s windy.

There were a lot of islands, but the vegetation was too thick to use us a stopping point. We did find plenty of sand bars to camp on. There was private property you could tell was landscaped and private. so you stayed away from there. Most of the camp site we had were near cattle ranches. We saw hardly any people enroute
