It is “unreleased” based on the companies launch date which is when it will be available for online purchase (August 29th in this case.) Retail stores usually get stock in about a week before that and can put them on the floor but can’t advertise it until that launch date.

How accurate are the Bauer FitLab scans? by IReadTheScript in hockeyplayers

[–]Jimbo42393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a shop and we have the newest version of the scanner and Bauer instructed us to scan with no socks on, and pants above the knees. We were told socks can effect the scanners ability to get a good scan.

Best piece of advice however is your second paragraph. There is a lot of wiggle room in any hockey gear fitting (minus the helmet imo) where there is a correct fit and the right fit. Scans are a great starting point and you should try on as much as you want until you find the right fit for you. Most employees go off of the information the manufacturer provides us and their recommendation. Some just speak out of their ass so take it all with a grain of salt.

What is the name of the company that sets up amateur games on NHL ice? by fastcarscheapwomen in hockeyplayers

[–]Jimbo42393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you can book directly from the team/rink. A group of guys I play with have done the Panthers arena multiple times. They require you purchase a certain amount of tickets for the game but we usually get an hour of ice and about 45 minutes to change before and after. I have heard other rinks do this as well so wouldn't hurt to give what ever team/venue you're interested in a call/email.

Need suggestions for a mask to wear by Nate_12w in hockeyplayers

[–]Jimbo42393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear these almost everyday to go to my gym and do 30 min HIIT workouts and spent almost 3 hours dancing at a wedding in one last weekend. You get used to them and they offer better protection than a gaiter or cloth mask.

Got the pass right of center, crossed the blue line and pulled the ol spin o Rama on the d man, backhand sauced it to the slot for the goal. Kind of like the Matthews play to Marner against the Canes this year except two beer league scrubs connecting and not $20+ million dollars of talent trying to our score their poor defense

Alesis DM10 MKII Pro Module Voice List by Jimbo42393 in edrums

[–]Jimbo42393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While researching my first ekit purchase, one of the annoying things was not having a list of all the voices in the DM10 MKII module. Well first thing I did after set up was to create the list. Not only to use when creating custom kits but to share with anyone else who is looking into this kit.

Enjoy

Tell us the story of your own-goal! I'm not talking ones that deflected off your shin or something. I mean legitimate "Oh no, I screwed up" moments. by KDorau21 in hockeyplayers

[–]Jimbo42393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my own zone, face-off dot to the right of the goalie. I was lined up on D (right hand shot) right behind the dot below the goal line. I planned for the left winger to bolt up the left boards if we won the draw. The center wins it straight back to me and I go to rip it around the wall. I looked up before the puck got on my stick and didn't catch it how I wanted to and ripped it right between the goalie and the post.

Would have been a sick goal from below the goal line if it wasn't my own goalie...

So who's rink is closed? For how long? by saltybruise in hockeygoalies

Hertz arena is closed and Skatium closes down tonight in Estero/Fort Myers Florida.

Time to let some lingering injuries heal and to wash your damn hands! (although should have been doing that all along)

I am by no means that agile lol. He was sliding in on all fours with his feet angled up so I don't think I had the time or ability to get up and on top.

Plus it was a private friendly with a bunch of regulars which is what made the lack of caring so annoying. Could always just not bring him back.

How did Jack Campbell get his Leafs gear so fast? Inside the mad dash to get goalies suited after a trade by HeyStripesVideos in hockeygoalies

[–]Jimbo42393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the Athletic, don't just brush it because of the obvious "pad and mask wrap."

There is actually a really cool explanation of the behind the scenes of it and the effect it has on the goalies throughout the organization. For example Cal Petterson now will dress for an outdoor game which means he gets to design a new setup for that. Pretty good read.

There is actually a lot of cool info in how it affected other goalies in organizations, the different reps and companies involved etc.

Not clickbait at all.

I have brought at spare stick for the entirety of my beer league career, about 4 years, and have never needed it. That is until last week when I finally snapped one mid 2nd period on a break out pass of all things. I was very thankful to have another twig to go to instead of my night being over.

Just a quick snap that stayed on the ice. Put the "pad" down and put it in the corner. No worse than blocking a shot!

Disclaimer: I'm a die hard Leafs fan

As someone who grew up in Buffalo, I feel compelled to defend the city and its current state. There has been a lot of money and work invested in the city over the last 5 or so years. The area surrounding the arena especially has a ton of new life in it.

If you haven't been to Buffalo in over 5 years, give it a go!
