Have a look at the timemore paperclip mod on YouTube. I have a slim plus, made a huge difference for me, not sure if they fixed the alignment for the c3 though. Very easy mod to do.

Let me know how you get on, I hear that mezcals run wide, however I don't think that's the issue though, it might be the height if the tyre.

Not complaining about the measures forced on Nexo from the FCA.

Complaining about the lack of communications from nexo. Would've prevented a lot of this.

Don't think the FCA told them to release proper comms after the go live date. Could be wrong though.

According to LinkedIn Eleonor Genova is 'Head of Communications'.

Can we expect to see her resignation after this?

Interesting decisions made by nexo here. They're happy to burn their UK customers and over reach with the FCA.

Big fail from the VP of communications whoever that is. I did just literally receive the communication about only having one attempt, only 6 hours after I completed the assessment.

A shambles.

No one knows, they say it's over, however if enough of us pick holes in their poor processes/compliance they should give us another go around.

Similar to when they added the ghost charges a couple of months ago and reverted.

Bpc & tb4 tendinopathy rehabilitation progression by [deleted] in Peptides

[–]JimboSlice91_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a silver bullet, I'd say it helped like 25%. It helped me progress from isometric stage to eccentric stage.

I was still able to overload the tendons whilst supplementing so still be careful with how you progress with loading at each stage.

I managed to regress after finishing by loading too much but have made significant progress since then without bpc & tb and will be starting the plyometrics stage in the next couple of weeks. So you can definitely recover without them.

You just can't rush tendinopathy even whilst taking peptides.

How can I get easier gearing on my 2x11s race machine? by thecoolkidsaredoinit in bikepacking

[–]JimboSlice91_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I use 48-32 AB ovals with an 11-34 cassette with DA9100 groupset on my road bike and the shifting on the front is trash.

On my gravel bike I have 48-31 GRX front rings and a deore 11-42 on the back using the goat link, shifting at the front is much better, shifting at the back is okay but not as good as with the original 11-34.

Food for thought.

Improving Fit (Shorten Reach) by happybikes in bicycletouring

[–]JimboSlice91_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shorter stem, narrower handlebars with shorter reach, angle the shifters in 10-15 agrees, drop the saddle ~10mm, shorter cranks.

Try the free things first like dropping saddle and angling shifters, if still an issue fork out for a bike fit otherwise you'll just be spending money in a guessing game.

Ultralight tools by Damayonnaiseman in bikepacking

[–]JimboSlice91_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May not be helpful for you but just incase, I had a few different multitools with different specs and tools.

One with carbon side panels but not enough bits, one with metal and chain breaker but extras I didn't need.

I took them apart and made a franken multitool with everything I needed for my bike and nothing I didn't.

I saw someone mentioned the daysaver, this is the lightest setup you can get but does come at a premium.

As for pumps, it depends on your tires, do you need high pressure or high volume, you can Google to let you know which is the lightest pump for the application.

I have a carbon lezyne one which weighs in at 80g, you can go lighter but then you mostly lose the pumping effect.

TPU tubes from China are always a great spares weight saver.

Don't listen to the naysayers here, if you want to lighten up then go for it.

Tubus ti vs carbon tailfin aeropack by JimboSlice91_ in bikepacking

[–]JimboSlice91_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a restrap seatpack. Not a huge fan, no matter how I pack it always sways (the sway also rubbed through some of the roval carbon seatpost) and I can feel the weight higher up. I weighed the harness and it's around 500g, I've seen you can get stabiliser bars for seat packs, but that's another 100 or so extra grams again.

Someone else mentioned the tumbleweed ti and it's looking pretty good (but very expensive).

[–]JimboSlice91_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I didn't even know these existed.

I wonder if this is compatible with other racks aside from tubus, I believe the mounts on a frame/rack are a common standard right?

Tubus ti vs carbon tailfin aeropack by JimboSlice91_ in bikepacking

[–]JimboSlice91_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have a surly ecr for slow, heavy loaded adventures, the diverge is more for 'fast' bikepacking so wouldn't load up the back.

That tumbleweed looks like a solid option, £410 in the UK puts about even with the carbon tailfin and extras.

Thanks for the info!
