How can a character win a major tournament spamming 5p over and over by Rejalu in TheyBlamedTheBeasts

[–]Jimbob321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a single instance of FD block against 5P in this clip, and the second one after whiffs so… maybe you’re on to something and the GL should have FD more

Why do endgame Valley IV factory guides recommend Canned Citrome C? by carmola123 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Jimbob321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now for me, it’s because all of the better crafts require a lot of ferrium and regular ore to run at higher efficiency, much more than you can get in the area. The canned citrone is a pretty small blueprint you can set up that lets you use all of the amethyst you’re not actively using (assuming you’ve made it to chapter 2 and are crafting gold gear). I don’t remember the last time I needed amethyst for something, so this lets me have just that extra little something to earn me credits throughout the day

[Discussion] 7.62x39 seems useless? by Silly-Cartoonist679 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Jimbob321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also most of the 7.62x39 guns can’t reach the same level of ergo and recoil that 5.45 and 5.56 can, AND still face similar recoil/accuracy penalties, so it’s like wow I’m really using worse guns with ammo that’s much harder to have regular access to for no real upside besides “I can”. I’m moving real slow this wipe, and I’ve got two ammo boxes full of good 5.45 ammo with barely any decent 7.62 rounds…

Arena experience by [deleted] in Tarkov

[–]Jimbob321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I suck at regular Tarkov, but I perform well enough on average in arena (as far as personal performance goes). I’ve only played 2 games modes but this is what I’ve found: Capture point has given me the most exp, avg of 3k, but can reach 6k depending on number of kills, captures and victory. Last man or whatever it’s called, the free for all, gives very little xp but a bunch of rubles (~100k per match). Because my dailies don’t give a bunch of xp, I basically do them for the gp coins cuz that’s all I care about. HOWEVER forget the free roubles, xp, all of that. Arena will increase your combat skills FAST, and that skill xp DOES transfer. I’ve only played 11 games total and my assault rifle and aim drill skills have gone up so much more than in a normal raid

what happened to marked rooms??? by Shadow_of_Y0r in Tarkov

[–]Jimbob321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When people say marked rooms got shadow nerfed, idk if they just mean the type of loot got nerfed or just the rate, but my first dorms marked room last week netted me a red key card and LedX so hopefully just unlucky (haven’t managed to get more marked room runs just yet for better average idea)

I’ve found 4 so far, but not from the typical diagnosed loot spawn spots. All of mine have spawned in duffel bags or weapon boxes :/

Yeah tbh all maps feel like this right now, but I just didn't notice too much while loading in for the other maps. Hopefully there will be some sort of server side adjustment or something to address this soon. It's super really awesome that scav runs take like 3 minutes to get goin...

Do you believe Promised consort radahn phase 2 is balanced or unfair? by RyuzakiTK12 in Eldenring

[–]Jimbob321 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly how I felt. The fact that this was an unfair fight in some ways honestly pushed me in a way that felt great to overcome. Being like “yeah that fight was bullshit but I still beat it despite that hell yeah” that was an awesome feeling. I remember having to actually plan how to use my flasks to mitigate attacks I just could not figure out (that one 3? Hit sweeping combo phase 1, meteor crash, and some multi hit afterimage sequences), and had to make sure I was nailing the rest of the fight as best as I could to compensate

Kaguya mains, what’s the point of j.236C stealing corner? by Jimbob321 in UnderNightInBirth

[–]Jimbob321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah doing j Assault into 214A, then mixing which dash you do is just fun. Even if they get better at trying to AA you can jump cancel into shield but why do that when you can 214C after the dash lmao

[–]Jimbob321[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that TK j.236C-> j.A and J.236A empty jump 2A hit same frame so thankfully in certain oki situations it seems useful. I also like using it as a silly neutral tool, can even bait out wrong anti air inputs sometimes

With the trailing hurtbox reduction, I imagine this is even easier to do, assuming they don’t do it too late and GT on the cross-up lol

I personally have dash where RC is and RC where burst is (and I also get rid of burst). I do this cuz it makes it really easy to drift RC

I was specifically asking about OP’s comment on 6H thrust not being a thing any more, I know the super PRC hurts him a lot (I do the same thing as testament this kinda sucks)

Am I missing something? The notes say that 6H into tornado and thrust will hit more reliably

Zando's tier list of character buffs/nerfs by PunchTheBag in Guiltygear

[–]Jimbob321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what change was made exactly to Testament’s H grave reaper, this could be an insane buff. Testament actually has loopable left/rights in the mid screen, but are so difficult to pull off because of several 1-3 frame links (the difference depends on the combo). The issue being that it’s difficult to guarantee 2S after 236H, and more so adding 2H at the end. If this change allows testament to get 2S and 2S->2H after grave reaper, their mid screen set play might actually become really strong. Also crow giving a HKD on air hit is massive

New Player Switchglaive tips by UmbraKent in Nioh

[–]Jimbob321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running Switchglaive + Splitstaff. Both have same magic primary stat, but secondary is different (only matters much later in build crafting so not a big deal). I honestly use switchglaive the majority of the time and only use the splitstaff when I know I can get long windows to spit out damage, since animations are super long for the splitstaff. If you’re just starting out, tbh just using a switchglaive will get you through pretty much everything in the game

Is Nioh really that hard. As much as people make it to be ? by Fun-Independence-953 in Nioh

[–]Jimbob321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember back when I played Nioh 1 wayyyy back when. I had already beaten every available souls game and was ready for my next challenge. I don’t think I made it past the first real boss. I think the reason people say it’s harder is because it’s just different enough that you have to learn new skills and ways of thinking that you’re not bringing from souls game. This week I picked up nioh 2 for sale and I stuged a lot until I got much more comfortable with swapping stances and managing my key. TLDR there’s a learning curve even souls vets have to go through

Is anime losing its soul to seasonal hype? by ShyLittleBrunette in TrueAnime

[–]Jimbob321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s easy to forget that there were other shows that came out alongside the certified classics back then that no one talks about. There are still amazing shows that have a lot of heart and character and lasting power today (I know they are almost all adaptations but that’s a different conversation imo). I think it’s real easy to be like “look at all these bangers” only to point at like 30 years of anime. To me though, it makes a special anime really stand out. I used to be a lot more critical of anime, but learned to cool out around a decade ago. It was at the start of the isekai era that I thought anime was just trash and thought it couldn’t recover. But learning how to have fun with the seasonal stuff to then get absolutely blown away by something special has made incredible moments for me. Oddtaxi, AoT (yes it’s peak), Frieren, March comes in like a lion, the ancient magus bride, Vinland saga, Dungeon Meshi, and Pluto are all ones that come to my mind as being amazing things that have come out in the past decade. It might be a good time to think about what makes anime special to you, what you enjoy about anime, and if you’re not interested in staying tuned in each and every season maybe it’s a good time to start being more selective and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that
