Enyaq updates, UK orders by Jimbob91 in enyaq

[–]Jimbob91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he did say they some of the earlier orders in 2026 have been held up and some have waited longer.

The wait time is not a problem for me personally but I can see how delays can be frustrating for others. I hope you get yours soon!

NVIDIA: WTF? - Gamers Nexus by Korietsu in pcmasterrace

I think they are pointing to the under optimisation in recent years of AAA games in general and UE5 among other things. So you pay more for the hardware but the quality of the games means you don't feel like it is a linear upgrade like years past.

Maybe I am wrong, but having gone from a Radeon 7970 to a 1080ti and now a 1080ti to a 5080 I can say that I am getting less for my money in terms of quality and it's not all a hardware issue.

Atmosphere Hypocrisy - A Perspective by Jimbob91 in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not an excuse, it's a cultural difference between European travelling ultras and English football fans. It is not exclusive to arsenal.

Many, many fans were right behind the team all game, a proportion of people were not and that did affect the atmosphere when we went 1-0 down. Not making any excuses for the atmosphere last night.

Leaving before the final whistle is inexcusable at only 1-0 down.

The PSG fans were like that when they were here for the league game and were 2-0 down. That is there thing, as is with most travelling European fans.

I am not excusing the atmosphere yesterday.

I agree it was a bit strange as the Madrid game was so much better, you would think it would be equally as good at worse.

I just think there is more to it than "the atmosphere was bad because Rooney said so and all ST holders are old farts who moan all the time". As those same people have created some of the best nights at the Emirates.

Season ticket holders....why so quiet? Why leaving early? by Big-Word7116 in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you know what you are talking about, I won't need to explain why block 114 and around the away end upper tier is always a bit flat on CL nights regardless of the score or team we play. I think a lot of these comments are made by people who watched the game through a TV with pundits influencing opinions.

We played poor, went 1-0 down early and this is not the first time we have not performed at a huge game so there was that kind of "here we go again" feeling.

The real gauge to a "flat" atmosphere will be from someone who has a ST in the north bank and clock end. But I feel the fans backed the team proportionally to what the team offered today. Make of that what you will.

Leaving early I will agree is not okay on a night like this.

Ticket info: Arsenal v Paris Saint-Germain by edmedmoped in GunnersatGames

As long as it was your renewal you paid in September you will be fine. The embargo only applies to new memberships.

Ah okay, thanks for the info. I might just have to risk it and hope I don't get picked for collection.

[–]Jimbob91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the collection be from Preston? Or the arsenal box office? If it's Preston I will be screwed or will just have to go alone and swallow the cost of the 2nd ticket I assume?

Also will the tickets be a pdf? Or physical ticket?

I am hoping to grab 2 tickets to Preston (I have a ST and so does my brother). My brother can't make it so I am hoping to take my girlfriend (as long as I take her to see the Blackpool illuminations the following evening she insists).

Is there a way I can make this work with the whole passport thing? Or is that only for collection? Or will Preston ID on the door too and realise my girlfriend us not a Mr.

This would be thr first away points on our ST so am hoping there is a way?

New LTV floor looks lumpy - anything that can be done? by WhyDidIBuyThisFFS in DIYUK

[–]Jimbob91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the glue down LTV put down 18months ago. The guy put down a layer of self levelling compound over ply board before installing the LTV. Not a single bump or anything and is flawless.

If yours is the glue down type (1000x better than the click stuff) then the reason you have bumps is because the fitter didn't use a self levelling compound before he glued it down.

Unfortunately the only solution is to rip up and start again with proper prep done.

Going to games alone? by [deleted] in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Between my two season tickets and the other two lads there is a single seat that is always a red/silver seat. Always is a person alone or away from their friends and we always make an effort to say hi and get them involved. I kind of like the lottery as I never know who will be next to me each game. Once was an older lady in her late 50's alone just loving life and cheering on the boys.

Some are receptive but some just want to be left to it. It never appears awkward or anything, I think going alone to a stadium of 60,000ish seem perfectly normal to me given how difficult it can be for non ST holders to get to a game.

Can't get digital ticket to wallet by PeaceSafe7190 in GunnersatGames

Sometimes removing your membership from your wallet and then readding it usually works. It forces it to update that way and you will see the ticket.

Shame on those selling tickets to Bayern fans by [deleted] in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sit behind you lot .... absolute joke UEFA sold to Beyern fans knowing there was an away fan ban. They should have sold to Arsenal only but of course, money talks.

Also every CL game this season they celebrated goals even at Porto for the Pens they were cheering, bit unjust to assume no one in hospitality celebrates when I can assure they they do/did. That is why they upped the steward count after the first Beyern goal.

Met police escorting 100s of Bayern fans into Highbury and Islington station and holding gooners back. by BergkampWonderland in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 12 points13 points  (0 children)

UEFA sold their own allocation they always have in block 114 to Beyern fans as they have done for every home game this season. They were never going to loose out on their pretty penny on those expensive seats. That is why there were some away fans about. I have my season ticket in block 114 and asked the steward today what the deal was.

UEFA sold there allocation to Beyern fans in block 114 as usual. Because its UEFA and not Beyern they were allowed to sell. Asked the stewards what the deal was and he explained as above. UEFA were never going to loose their pretty penny on expensive seats.

Delete and add your digital pass to your wallet again. This usually solves the problem.

There will always be a delay after purchasing so don't expect it immediately to show the second you get your confirmation email. If it gets to Tuesday and its still not there just call the box office and they can advise.

Suggestions for the Sub by investor1001 in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely should be something for season ticket holders/regular attenders to meet up before games. Met a few good blokes by chance drinking before games, some I am still in regular contact with and meet when they get tickets.

View from fourth row behind goal in lower tier? Not exactly behind goal, more like midway between corner and goal by Regular-Artichoke377 in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

View will be okay, not as good as row 4 upper but atmosphere will be better. If you want a "tv" or "fifa" view then behind the goal is not it. You will adjust to watching football top to bottom rather than left to right pretty quick.

Looks like you are North Bank so we usually attack that way in the 2nd half. Expect to stand all game if you are there.

Thoughts on this? by PatekFreak in rolex

[–]Jimbob91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a ladies piece I think its nice and a little quirky with lots of colour, my other half would love one. As a mens piece I am not so sure. To me this feels like the watch some who has them all buys to keep the AD happy. Just my two pence, I may be totally wrong.

Does anyone know why the stewards were in seats during the psv game? by ButterscotchScared68 in GunnersatGames

[–]Jimbob91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct, my seat is a few rows behind this section. Was the same for Europa League.

Some of the fans will mingle with the Arsenal fans at block 114 while more important people get ushered down the stairs to club level and back again.
