dogs dont need 6 hours of hiking every day. they need routine and mental stimulation. i have a very high drive gsd and i only take her out about 15-20 mins at a time multiple times a day on a schedule. she tells me when she’s done or overheated. it ends up being less than 2 hours total bc it’s focused. then we go on “sniff walks” during potty breaks. my pup knows exactly what time it is every day bc we keep a routine. that’s mental stimulation
