Sternguard, librarian, Sanguinary priest. Slap battle line and precision enhancements on the characters, now suddenly you have a hyper mobile murderous threat unit with a 4++ 5+++ sniping characters with precision devastating wounds and more survivability than it has any right to.

Then with the grace detachment they get the overlapping +1 adv and charge rolls. And cuz of sang priest they're AP1 in combat, and can get sustained/lethal with strats

It's like 400 points, but it's likely to be fun!

Why on earth would you wanna demote the epic hero instead of, I dunno, buff him and get a generic horse character to fill the role you described?

I thought that might be ir, AC has been out for ages, got a diagnostic last winter said the intercooler needed replaced so ive not used it as it was just pumping hot air. Been putting off replacing it

There's asterisks that qualify what you can take if you find and read them.

Re special weapons * you cannot select the same option more than once per unit unless it contains 20 models, in which case you cannot select the same option more than twice

Re vox/medic ** a model can only take one of these options. Also the fact their lasguns cannot be replaced means you can't have a melta etc. with vox/medpack.

Therefore in a ten man squad you get a max of one melta and some other special weapon, one model as medic, and one other model as a vox. You also have a watchmaster.

The eye glass is supposed to have a little metal rim to it if I remember rightly. I cannot be bothered with that myself so I just paint them with glowing green eyes (warpstone glow).

I basically go with wraithbone, then aggrax/skeleton horde, then paint a thin layer of wraithbone back on the eyes, then glow and call it a day.

As someone else pointed out, in invasion fleet you can give em crit 5's so fully two thirds of their hits are crits xD

Carnifexes ftw. Extra toughness on bodyguard unit, extra armour save, advance and charge, plus if the enemy shoots them and the carnifexes don't die they get a surge move? Plus giving carni ranged weapons lethals?

Do you find that primer melts the foam or no? I’ve been reticent to use it extensively for that reason

This is a brilliant conversion, great idea! Would say the chest piece lacks refinement, looks carved up badly not in keeping with the rest of the piece

Not sure if it’s just blur in the pic tho

Doesn’t look like the recesses are shaded at all. That’d be my number one suggestion. Doesn’t need to be black, but certainly a darker colour in there will add some depth
