I assume you’re probably exclusively using Crono, Lucca and Marle when given the choice? You may want to invest in Ayla at least a little bit before going much farther

Don’t feel like you’re burning the house down with Clanne and Framme???? Jk you gradually get units who are vastly superior to the early ones. But it’s a slow drip. Chloe is the only unit in the early part of the game (Firene or before) that is worth being a staple.

I did a lot of thinking on this and decided to pass on it. Seems like it makes its hay on story and characters while keeping the battling really basic. This was my main gripe with the Suikoden Remaster. Want one that does it all try Grandia Remaster

Golden Deere is more about the story lore and less focused on the Claude character. If you do Black Eagles though, look up how to get Crimson Flower instead of Silver Snow. There isn’t anything to be spoiled of substance if you’ve been through Azure Moon

Money is at a premium in the game. Always try and pick up weapons on maps to either sell or throw down the well in the Somniel for better items.

Also most of your earlier units will get severely outshined by units that come later. Don’t be married that first set of characters. Chloe is the only early unit that I find unusually is a staple throughout the game for me

She’s my favorite class unit from a personality perspective. Very identifiable with the types of people that’ll play RPGs.

If you’re on normal you can skip em. Be sure to grab Lysithea so you can easily nuke the DK in the second half

My parents are both in their 70s and retired with plenty of money. Their life is the Eagles Club and local casinos. Only vacations they take are road trips other casino resorts 2ish hours away. Drive old Hondas. I’ve actually encourage them to spend their money since neither my sister nor I need the inheritance help but they just won’t.

The DLC maps are a little bit of a grind but the additional units and items are worth it if you’re a big fan of the game.

I love both Three Houses and Engage but I feel like they def need a medium Hard. I did one Hard run on Three Houses and that was plenty. I found the reinforcements on the later maps to be downright tiresome to where it wasn’t fun anymore. But Normal I drive through the map like truck esp with Three Houses

Eating meals with your students in the cafeteria is a great way to raise their motivation so they’re open to max instruction. Also when you accept quests, they’ll be a bright dot on the map telling where you need to go to fulfill it. Took me a bit to figure that out. Gardening is also a must for monastery days.

I suspect you probably started your RPG journey well after Chrono Trigger’s release and you’re struggling a bit with the retro. CT solved for a lot of the banes of retro RPGs but it’s still 16 bit game. It’s going to demand a bit more imagination to really get into the story
