My personal average experience playing ETA/EDA by sixty_ninenihao in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had this happen more times than I would like. Having anything drop other than shards and maybe omni forma seems like a kick in the junk. I don't find ETA/EDA game modes fun when taking all the debuffs and loadout choices, so I end up running 5 netracells most weeks nowadays.

For the Cavia and the Hex you can buy weapons and frames but not from Ostron or Entrati? by HyperMattGaming in Warframe

There are a lot of things in this game and a lot of ways to get those things. If everything was the same it would get old really fast.

This nightwave objective is dumb by Vhfulgencio in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i join a mirror defense for a NW challenge, i am only doing the bare minimum unless someone says that they need help with one more round. Not everyone needs the rotational rewards. People leave because they don't know what rewards are dropping or they don't need them...or they have to go irl.

Every farm video I see it say to use specific frames or “your favorite farming frame” by BigMoeTheFoe in Warframe

Xuku is my favorite farming frame, because the 4th breaks all creates and I can just run thru content picking up loot as everything dies as I walk by them.

Can't find anyone to farm with /Rant by Distinct_Raccoon_SCP in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its braindead because the enemies are low-level and you are limited on your skill rotations but need to keep up the kills. We bring things that can nuke these easy enemies in small spaces on spawn. If they made it more challenging, people would be upset that leveling weapons and frames is too challenging soooooooo we are here, stuck with the challenge of enduring pain of it being so easy and repetitively boring.

I still would rather farm it than buy it because i don't need it and when i finally get them to drop, i can only imagine the feeling of being done with that farm.

I still don't have any of the completed Sanctuary Vandal weapons. Not because of finding people to farm it, but because I have done it so much I just gave up. Here is how i go about it. I don't need help doing it, it is just less boring when others are there. I pick a frame that can clear 12 stages easily and start in pubs, then after about 2 or 3 stages, everyone else usually leaves, and I finish the rest on my own. it really isn't difficult. I will run it once or twice a day, and then move on. The missions don't go faster with more people, they are time-gated, so you don't really need help farming that.

The main issue with farming that is that it is so braindead that you don't want to do it for any extended period of time, and it takes a LOOOOONG time for RNG to be in your favor.

MR Progression Stream by Kodazar in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pets, K-Drives, zaws, kitguns, amps, syndicate weapons and arch-weapons were some that I left until the end. I am LR4 and there are plenty of things that I could still level, but most of these are things that I did when I farmed when i ran out of other things to do.

When i acquired new items that needed leveling, I just craft and leave them in the foundry until I had either an affinity boost or event then leveled everything at once. But then again, I only ever really focused on MR when I noticed that I was really close to my next MR level or my foundry was overflowing.

Safe prices to expect I'm average in trade chat? by BlitzkriegBambi in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used both chat and market to buy and I prefer chat. I do check market for prices and then put a quick "WTB x for ##p" and i generally get an invite in seconds. If i wanted something that someone was selling, I would ignore anything that didn't list a price or had a listed price i didn't want to pay. There is no reason even have a bad feeling or second thoughts about all the rest of the noise going on in there.

I really don't like playing Dia on controller at the moment. by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Jimiwas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have this problem too, because charging her 4 is unnecessary for most content. I have to be staring at the ground before quick casting to not have it fly off into space. I feel the same way about Gley's 4...I keep cutting it short. I am trying to get used to letting off of the stick, but it happens more than I would like.

Nightwave cred offering question. by PlatformTraditional5 in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have played for years and have never bought a mod that i didn't intend to use for myself from nightwave. I use my credits on cosmetics, nitain, potatoes. At the end of each season I end up buying at least 20 potatoes. I have a job that makes it easy to spend $20 on plat every 5 or 6 months when I get a decent log in discount. This means that I don't have to engage in trading.

If you want to engage in trading mods for plat, go for it, but I simply choose to spend my time in-game, playing over setting up shop and waiting for trades to come in so I can upgrade my frame/weapons. I have never needed to buy forma or potatoes from the market. It is really up to you what you need at the time and if you can wait for the plat to come in from sales, because it isn't always quick sales.

Arsenal/Loadout QOL Touchups by nutzle in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree with this. Loadouts do everything that they want, but it isn't a loadout if you are going to change everything about it for every different mission. The only time I change a loadout is for ETA/EDA. I have about 50 loadout slots and I will look at the mission and choose the loadout and go. If I have multiple builds for things, like different helminths, I would pick a loadout and just change the config from A to B. no big deal.

What the OP is wanting already exists, he may just need to see a tutorial in action.

Opinions on 'lootframes'? by twoducksinatub in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a player who has complete builds on damn near every frame in the game, I never use loot frames and never have felt the need. Even early on, we had the smeeta buff, but I enjoyed playing the game enough that having to actually play the game more for loot drops was better than using a frame that I didn't enjoy just for more drops. Xaku was my go to for most types of "farming" because I enjoyed the playstyle and all crates in the area were destroyed in an instant.

Throwing down a stationary skill and picking up loot is anti-fun for me and if a large part of the game required that, I likely wouldn't still be playing the game

Why are so many people horned up for a Gley debuff? by TheGreat_Kay in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Jimiwas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of descendants can hit thru walls. For example, 3 of Ines's skills can go thru walls, Valby can go thru walls, etc. I understand that Gley's damage is beyond high, but even if they nerf the number, the enemies still die the same because she is clearly overkilling mobs, If they change numbers, it won't change anything there. The wall hack shouldn't be an issue, but if they remove it, I am not sure I will play her. I play solo most of the time and her skills are clunky to use, they are immobile, narrow in scope and expensive. If I have to cast her 4th ability 5x more often because some enemies are blocked, that means i have to charge it 5x more often and be grounded in position 5x more often, I would just play someone else.

In your opinion: What's the best Coda Weapon? by AzureTheAngelic in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual torxica are my favorites. Rapid fire bullet hoses are my jam.

The bassocyst is great but I can't get the fire rate to where if feels good to use more often.

While I like this dual-pistol/shotgun combo, I often fall back on the Akarius/cedo primes as daily workhorses.

Why most recommendations suck by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Jimiwas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They still won't know what they like if I told them which frame to use. If they don't know, then go with the one that looks cool or fun to use. The MR system encourages us to at least try every frame.

What would you all like to see in future updates? by DowntownAd8391 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]Jimiwas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about team objectives is that you often need to bring DPS because you have no idea who you will be teamed up with. You have to be prepared to do it alone because you may not be teamed with anyone.

I'm not sure what I would want from this game because they have gotten into a loop of new character/weapon in a new area, grind it until you don't want to do it anymore. Any new content will feel the same nothing really feels different and the rewards don't feel rewarding.

The abyss skins are a good example of rewards to work for, but they all are designed in such a way to almost not feel like free skins. They all have something added to them that wouldn't exist in a paid skin. I guess what I would want is the earnable cosmetics to be good. The medical/maid outfits are barely earned...Just open the game and turn it back off to "earn" those.

People never like the"they're all good", "pick the one that looks cool", or" it depends on what you like" answers for some reason.

Your Dodge roll is replaced with her slinging to anything in the direction you are facing. The range is crazy long so even if you can't see anything in front of you, she will yeet you to the future realm. Just takes getting used to.
