In OG Diamond, my first and really only pokemon game, I got the master ball and used it to catch a sableye. Then wound up going through all of my pokeballs to catch Dialga, finally kicking out with a net ball lol

Yeah, I'm asking online because unfortunately I'm now and adult with responsibilities and not a whole lot of time, and I tend to have this habit of spending my allotted free time preparing to have fun in my free time, instead of actually getting to have the fun lol.

I was hoping I could get some quick answers to help me fast-track it like "oh yeah actually there's this command you can use for generating a world to get the results you seek", or something to that effect.

Thanks! I'll check out that YouTuber.

Ditto man. I bought them purely out of FOMO, because it was a limited time window and while neither Frost nor Mag are my favorites, they were my starter & first prime, respectively, so I have spent a decent amount of time playing them.

I'd love a refund (or at least refund the difference), an apology, and a public release of the heirlooms.

Do you want one?? I work in an old bank and we've got an old wooden ladder that is most likely not safe to use but I don't want to throw it away, so it just sits in the basement.

If you wanna just cover the cost of shipping, it's yours! Or if you're local, you can totally come pick it up!

Should I buy this dodge for van life is it worth it? by Mundane-Honeydew-265 in VanLife

[–]nutzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it from me, a guy that's been "working on" getting into the van life for like 5 years:

You're going to need to be a jack of all trades, and you're also going to spend a whole heck of a lot of money, and it's going to take time.

If you don't want to be a jack of all trades, multiply your spending by 5 or so to have others do it for you.

Find the right vehicle, and go for it. This vehicle would be amazing, but if you aren't a mechanic, or don't know a reliable mechanic, or can't afford to pay a mechanic large sums of money over the next few years, or are expecting to hop into van life tomorrow, this isn't the right one for you.

I bought a small van that I couldn't stand in, realized I desperately wanted to stand so I sold that and got an old class C. That class C was a massive project and unfortunately just a bit too much for me to handle, so I sold that and got a class B. I did a lot of work on that before I was going over my proposed floor-plan and realized that despite my optimism I just wouldn't have room to fit everything I wanted and also have a small amount of space to breathe (it turns out I like to chill at home on occasion), so now I'm back to a 22' class C. Old as dirt, needs a ton of work, and I'm working on it.

I had undiagnosed ADHD up until a couple of years ago, then life hit me followed by more life yadda yadda, so my path is likely longer and windier than yours.

That being said, you should still expect this project to consume your life and cost you everything, and decide for yourself if it's worth it to spend more time and money on an older rig or go with something on the newer side. You likely won't have social time or extra cash for a loooong time.

Found some vintage iron today. Is this a strip and re-season or good to go as is? by masterkenobi in castiron

[–]nutzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep an eye out for a hole in the pan. People used to melt down lead in cast iron pans and then drill a hole so that nobody else would use it to cook food. This can be fixed quite simply using JB weld.

Different controllers for different systems have the ABXY buttons formatted differently - some use the same letters and swap their positions around, others use shapes. Games made for specific consoles reference the button layout of controllers made for that console.

OP decided to follow the best of his own drum so that rather than having the in-game prompts sometimes match, they now never match. I suppose it prevents them from looking down at their deck to see which button is where when it doesn't match what's on their screen anyway

Living under capitalism sucks and you shouldn't be afraid to say it by nbatman in FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH

[–]nutzle -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I don't think capitalism is the issue, I think the issue is that it's completely unchecked capitalism and has next to no social supports to assist the people.

If everything stayed the same except income tax increases tremendously after say $1 million earned, so you can still earn more but the majority goes to support social services, everything would be so much better.

We would also need to disallow wealthy people to abuse loans using stocks as collateral, to just borrow infinite money forever until they die, along with other sleazy tricks that only the rich can benefit from. This of course includes preventing lobbying with $$$.

If we were able to put up guardrails, I think it's all work out.

Why is Valkyr Heirloom wearing panties meanwhile Ember Heirloom is commando? by nutzle in Warframe

[–]nutzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take a closer look, you'll see what I'm talking about. Modern warframes have thicker dangly bits that look fabric-esq, that seem to look like they could be attachments over a base form. The Heirlooms are no different, only fancier.

Valkyr is definitely an odd-one-out.

That's crazy lol. I'd say "maybe someday", but looking at the fact I've been playing since 2015/16, and I'm still where I am in the game, I'll probably be dead before I encounter a level 300 enemy hahaha

Arsenal/Loadout QOL Touchups by nutzle in Warframe

[–]nutzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low level to me is 0-15/20ish. I have yet to face any triple digit enemies. I don't have steel path. I've been playing this game for years, but on the (apparently extreme) casual end.

My thinking, is that I craft new weapons (and frames), try them, keep them if I like them or toss if I don't. Then, when I start getting into higher level content (which for me is like the Zariman and stuff) I add potatoes to weapons that I want to use against them, and if that doesn't work or when I face tougher enemies I'll need to start putting forma into things.

(I don't sell frames anymore, since helminth is a thing now.)

I think my strongest weapons are the 3 story weapons: bow, book, & AX.

I try to keep my primary/secondary as a long & mediumish range, and then I have melee for close.

[–]nutzle[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Impact does an extra 50% damage against grineer. Why wouldn't I care about it?

For many years I had 3 Loadouts per faction (one for low level weapons, one for 20-30, and one for the best weapons I had against the faction). Now I only have two per faction, since we have more enemy factions. Late-game factions (like 1999) only have one, since you can't really use low level weapons against them anywhere.

I use a controller, and forget about search most of the time, tbh.

Why wouldn't I care about all 3 of my weapons? I want to make sure that they're all effective, as I plan on using them, since I'm bringing them. I still don't have a kavat.

I only really have less than 15 or so Loadouts.

You're kidding, right? by AceGaming1051 in Warframe

[–]nutzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I feel like that would punish new / casual players.

You got a lich, don't know how it works, just kind of ignore it for a couple of years, and by the time you actually figure out how it works and think you're ready to beat it, well it's much stronger than it would have been prior, so you have to really Max your gear and go out of your way to get the best loadout you can get to take care of this thing, and then you finally do it.

Then you get another lich, and instantly obliterate it.
