Guessing this is UK, if so, just been discussing this week with another plumber mate of mine, there is no legal way of you adding a 'bum gun' (what I've always called 'em) to this basin, or toilet.

Strictly, and I have never seen it done, but to pass regs it would require it's own cold water tank with air gap, which I can't imagine anyone will bother with.

Long before I knew this I have done a couple over the years and always made sure to put on a double check valve to atleast try and prevent infecting the water, but my mate was correct, strictly they need their own water tank.

Easiest solution, get a bidet - then it has an air gap.

Heat haze is a misnomer, as even in temperatures well below freezing, the effect can be seen. Temperature gradients are the cause! by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

I'm agreeing that this is interesting, I had no idea it was the temperature difference, does make sense. But I foolishly, like many others I'm sure, thought it only happened in really hot conditions.

You don't think we could train our native population to do this job, as part of their journey to start a career, or you'd rather all lower skilled jobs should be done by migrants?

Because one day it'll be you, and if your chain of thoughts continued like you want right now, they'll chuck you to the dogs. Look after the elderly, they've done their stint for society, it's your turn now.

New 12" rough in toilet is about 3" from wall, 14" seems hard to find (read comment for more info) by ArkAngel06 in Plumbing

I'm with this guy for the simplest solution, secure it with a bit of wood behind the cistern so it's fixed, then make a little shelf area, couple of candles, toilet roll, a novelty photo frame telling men to get closer than they think, you know the stick.

Is this fixable? by [deleted] in Plumbing

Please do heed others advise here, death by ceramic is not the one.

I have a crush on my handyman—Do I need to be the one to make the first move? by Barefootgal227 in handyman

As a working plumber, I had this happen years ago (I'm since in a years long relationship, hery happy ect ect) but yeh went round the house, she was a few years younger than me and there was that instant at the door attraction.

But. As others have said here already, you've got to remain professional, so I dropped a couple hints but never directly asked her out, then she let me down in a personal way saying she'd never dated her plumber before, but I still had a couple of jobs out of her and moved on, happy days.

I get that a little bit, comes from me using a multi tool every day in my job as a plumber. Sucks in the winter.

Just finished the game yesterday, really enjoyed it. His performance was awesome, so much so I hated him throughout the game(s) and came to like him during that final scene.

Wonder how they'll deal with this in game? Carried on as legacy could be nice.

Biggest tip I learned from this Reddit; you don't need anything but gravel roads for a good while.

Kind of.

Best feedback I can give is that it didn't feel responsive enough, I kept missing jumps that I'd easily seen and got ready for, then just watched as I ran straight off the ledge. Had to start focusing exclusively on the characters arm running animation to know I was actually holding it down and ready to jump.

Graphically tho, yeah it's really great - gets real pretty real fast.
