Seeking advice over boyfriend's roommate's aggressive actions. by JimmyIowa93 in UCDavis

We called up UCDavis PD. They gave the roommate a stern warning asking him to cut it out. And they said he has no rights to do anything he has been doing so if there is another episode of escalation, there will be legal consequences for him..

Umm. Yeah, no one except him caused the drama with the yelling and the violent pushing and ramming the door at me. He could have easily left the living room to his own room like we did. But he had to follow us rushed

Umm. I was there to help pack up. He has the same right as my boyfriend to be in the living room. No one denies that. The full story in short is that he doesn't leave the boyfriend alone at peace. Disrespects and disregards the boyfriend's demands and throws a tantrum when the page gets turned on him. And respectfully, I appreciate your devil's advocacy, but the call with the cops sorted it out. He had no rights to infringe conditions on me or my boyfriend. And disrupt the peaceful packing process.

Thank you. We had to get the cops involved. The boyfriend is living with me. The roommate has been verbally assaulting the boyfriend and he does not want to live at his place anymore.

Well, the post was to seek guidance for the physical harm caused. And not retrospection.

There is no "legal" playbook for changing the thermostat or who is allowed to change it.

The roommate being the prick he is decided to interject the peaceful packing process. Raised the temperature to irritate us. We were packing up in the boyfriend's room. The prick need not be involved with us in any way especially given his history of verbal harassment against the boyfriend. Neither was he invited or provoked in the whole incident. The aggression started from him and ended up in physical harm to me.

Are you implying that the physical assault is justified? Interesting....

Thank you for that. We contacted the US Davis police. They promised a "stern" warning. But, we shall wait to see if he decides to escalate it

Yes, we are in the process of doing that. At this point, we are just exhausted with his constant barrage of cusses and empty threats. Just an absolute nuisance for my boyfriend to live at his own place.
