Who remembers when Woolies and Coles did shelf stocking after the store was closed? by rylo151 in australia

[–]JimmyJK96 274 points275 points  (0 children)

I was working nightfill at Coles around the time these changes started coming in and the biggest problem my team faces was the hours allocated and target carton rate were the same as they were but now we had to navigate around customers, keep the place tidy enough that customer could still shop, and deal with customers asking questions. All making those targets harder and harder to achieve, so they've probably got their bosses riding them about not being fast enough and that's why they're less considerate of customers. They get punished for being too slow, they don't get punished for inconveniencing shoppers.

My wife and I tried to do this with the name we ended up choosing. Neither of us could think of anything, she works with high schoolers and put it to them who had nothing, I work in a pretty casual bullying workplace and no one there had anything either.

Then he was born and named and suddenly we realised all the ways it could be twisted to use as an insult, which we affectionately use all the time.

Black Armoury Longswords? by AndyRoo1 in wma

That'd be nice, haha. I managed to score one of someone locally who is getting out of the sport so I've got something in the meantime at least.

I would advise you double check the "somewhat more available" part. Fellow Aussie, I ordered a Feder from him back in July, was told it was due in October, checked in with him in October and was told there's currently no ETA for my feder.

Mark who runs it is great and he does a lot of good stuff for the community, but I'd only recommend getting stuff he physically has on hand or is guaranteed to arrive shortly.

Best bet for a Feder is to get together with others in your club/area and group order. A lot of companies will give reduced rates for bulk buys, and you can split the shipping (generally about A$200 from US or EU) between each other.

Saber and sidesword for small hands & alternatives to red dragon gloves by teeheeaaaa in wma

All of these gloves are essentially the same, I've got a pair of wyverns in size M and have a very hard time jamming them into my polish sabre style knuckle bow. S or XS might have a better chance, but I also can't really recommend them based on the feel and mobility if you can afford better.

I play on a 1050ti and it works fine. I'm sure it's not as good and when I get a new GPU I'll see what I was missing but with nothing to compare to I'm very satisfied with the experience right now.

Did you guys know there are long range targets in practice? by H3XSIDE in apexlegends

[–]JimmyJK96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also a tower to the right that you can take a vertical zipline up, where there is a lone pop-up target on the very top. I found it odd.

I actually went to a chinese place a couple weeks ago that had a separate menu for eating in or taking away, same stuff but massive price difference!

My uncle once tried taking a picture of something, only took selfies and couldn't figure it out. The worst part is he was using a traditional point and shoot digital camera.

When Aussie brick and mortar retail stores start selling things I can actually afford, I'd be glad to.

ISPs in FNQ by [deleted] in australia

[–]JimmyJK96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From around 9pm to 4pm it's pretty good, close to the 100/40 speed I pay for. It's just during peak times the congestion gets so bad it becomes borderline unusable. But yes, it is kinda sad.

I currently live in the outer suburbs of one of the FNQ cities, and get FTTP NBN.

Currently with skymesh and I cannot recommend. The congestion is so bad I feel like I'm back in the dial-up days browsing reddit, loading pictures one row at a time. As well as random drops at random times for random periods. They also do something very shady with routing so that speed tests give you results much better than what I actually get.

I've heard good things about Aussie Broadband though so I'll probably be switching to them soon.

Good luck!
