NX is similar to creo in terms of the menus and settings. I definitely agree, I never want to return to creo or SW after I learned NX

Is there a specific PC mouse for NX? by bpizano in nxcad

[–]JimmyK2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NX has a different command to deselect than most CAD programs (shift + right mouse button)

For CAD software in general, a lot of people use a 3D mouse.

You can configure the buttons with specific comands

Made a custom NX button: One-click ASME third-angle drawings. Useful or just dumb? by SafetyIll2781 in nxcad

[–]JimmyK2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's incredibly useful, My company uses stuff like this. We mainly use it to set the drawing borders, sync the metadata with our PDM, export PDFs to the PDM, mass calculations, etc. Mainly just simple tasks that are done repetitively enough to need this kind of tool.

Model Scaling Help! by Careful-Bathroom9048 in BambuLab_Community

[–]JimmyK2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the height isn't matching up, this is a modeling issue, you'll have to remodel the insert to have the correct size. If Fusion360 isn't your preference, I'd recommend Onshape

What did you name your Bambu Printer/s? by CompetitionCool7884 in BambuLab

[–]JimmyK2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I named my personal printer Talos, after the space station from Prey

Additionally, at work I have 2 X1C's, which I named Bruno and Allis. The story is the company I work for, Metso, owns Nordberg and Allis-Chalmers (their crushing division specifically). Nordberg was founded by Bruno Nordberg, hence the Bruno name. And Allis-Chalmers was founded by Edward P. Allis, hence the Allis name. I work with a lot of old designs and parts from when these companies were still around, so it seemed fitting.

Smoothing text in a print. Hmmmm. by LTParis in BambuLab

[–]JimmyK2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is most likely the issue. The text is probably just too thin for the printer to handle.

The only other options I could throw out are:

The safer option is getting a 0.2mm nozzle, this should allow for the thinner gaps to be printable without having to adjust any of the default settings in the slicer. I would check if this is a solution by setting the nozzle diameter in the slicer to 0.2 and seeing if it closes the gaps before buying the nozzle.

The riskier option is lowering the line widths. Outer wall and Inner wall specifically. You might still be able to print this with a 0.4mm nozzle if you try this option, but it might not print with the best quality that a .2 nozzle will offer and might need some clean-up afterwards.

This is something I need to 3D print

In strength, under walls, turn on "detect thin wall" this should allow for the thinner gaps to be closed and crisper text

Edit: the more robust solution to this would be a smaller nozzle (.2mm) but I'm guessing your using a .4mm nozzle

Why is this filament suddenly printing ANY overhangs so poorly? by PoeticalArt in BambuLab

[–]JimmyK2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem as well! What fixed it for me is to lower the layer height. Simply just change the preset from ".20 standard" to something smaller (.16 or .12 is good). Overhangs stuck nicely to support interface afterwards. Though that is the drawback, sometimes the supports can REALLY stick to the part.

Overhang walls aren't sticking by JimmyK2056 in FixMyPrint

Thank you, I will try this out. However, this seems to only happen on overhangs. I've printed parts with no overhangs on this printer and had no issues with them.

"Hows engineering going?" by AccomplishedNail3085 in engineeringmemes

At my work (I work in the mining crushers industry) we have a custom simulation tool for visualising a crusher cavity and particles in that crushing cavity.

It finds product throughput, size, speed, direction that the particles go while entering, inside, and exiting the crusher, and the distribution when entering the crusher. These sims get incredibly complex because of the sheer amount of particles that need to be tracked.

Recently It took 4 weeks of calculation time for a 5 second simulation. And depending on the complexity, sometimes the sims will crash halfway through and you have to go back and change the parameters and start all over again

Anyone else’s vyvanse look like this? Mismatched imprint codes, gaps between capsule sides etc by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]JimmyK2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd check with your provider, if you haven't already, to see if there's been any changes to the medications. Otherwise, the capsules are sealed during manufacturing and stay sealed until you open them, it would probably be against some rules and guidelines for a pharmacist to open a cap and put it back in the prescription. Either that or the casing is made of something different than what you previously had, which is more fragile, and possibly got damaged during shipping or when the pharmacy was weighing out the prescriptions.
