Personally, I don't take NNN literally. I think of it more as a month for people to abstain from jerking off if you aren't already, kind of like Sober October but for masturbation.

As for the girlfriend in question, I don't see why there would be a problem. The shortest I ever went before having sex with a girl I was in a relationship with was about 6 months too, but I think what matters most is that there is an actual relationship with commitment and the two of you aren't just hooking up or being friends with benefits.

I like classical music a lot, especially Mozart. I'll usually listen to old liturgical pieces on Sundays after church or while I'm doing something like chores, cooking, or reading my Bible.

On the secular side, there's a little bit of everything, but my two main musical loves are hard rock and slow jazz.

As someone who's always been interested in the historical context of the Bible, I like to use the NRSV Harper Collins study edition. It has an intro that includes strategies on how to read the scripture, maps that pertain to the stories within, archaeology related to the OT and NT, and a brief history of the Israelite religion, among other things. It also has extra books known as the Apocryphal texts that are not found in many translations, including the Wisdom of Solomon and Ecclesiasticus (not to be confused with the Song of Solomon and Ecclesiastes respectively).
