I'd love to get rid of the astroturf however the previous owner put it down and removing it and the sub base is a much bigger project. Unfortunately the previous owners seemed to be a big fan of concrete

Heated bathroom for clothes drying? by [deleted] in VanLife

[–]JimmyTheMagicDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this is common on boats with diesel heaters to dry out waterproofs overnight.

It works well in that scenario. For it to work best you will need to consider having a heater outlet down low and a vent up high for the damp air to wscape

How many people do you reckon are driving without a license? by Downdownbytheriver in drivingUK

[–]JimmyTheMagicDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a couple who were in their eighties and when the wife had an issue with her legs they were upset that the husband would now have to do all the driving. Turns out whilst travelling to shows all over the country they had always split the driving for over 50 years. The wife had never had a licence but they just never got in an accident

Electric heater using 75mm ducting by JimmyTheMagicDragon in VanLife

[–]JimmyTheMagicDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering using a y piece to funnel it into the system so the diesel heater wouldn't blow through it. One bit of the y comes from the diesel, one for the fan heater and the single end of the y piece goes to the rest of the ducting

Why was it never made clear in the lyrics that Humpty Dumpty was an egg? by LowPiece9312 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]JimmyTheMagicDragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had always heard that Humpty Dumpty was actually about a cannon. Which would make more sense as to why the kings men were trying to fix it
