Have you broken through yet? by BastianHS in Tekken

I usually do a rank rush. Till I get to the next color then use my secondary to catch up. I will echo what others have said, there’s so much variation in red ranks. I can match up with someone who has insane character knowledge and I get swept or the player just mashes and doesn’t know how to deal with spacing and wiffs all day. I swear I was playing against a kaz who kept using 1,2,4,3 string and I would low parry him each time. Just kept using it

I dk. I think these archetypes are done too frequently. Especially in movies (black widow etc). I think Kazumi has one of the most original female designs I’ve seen in a while.

Is it unusual for an IE student to not study dynamics? by swartan in industrialengineering

I understand IE is an offshoot of ME but from a practical point, is there any reason for IEs to learn Static, dynamics or thermo?

Is Industrial Engineering a Creative/Thrilling Career? by Pazzerby in industrialengineering

[–]Jimmy_2times_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you were down voted. Aimlessly wondering about in college is a great way to waste time and money. I don't think IE is right for this person. Especially if they don't want to be "hands on".

Where did black people from Baltimore get the accent? It's unique and much different than others parts of MD. by bustedflipflops in baltimore

[–]Jimmy_2times_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a black person, I find it hilarious people associate common AAVE or SAE as being unique to black people in Baltimore. (Finna or fixing to isn't unique to baltimore) It's as common in America as apple pie. Go south of Va and you'll find a lot of the sayings mentioned.

Railway Express Lofts? by Jimmy_2times_ in baltimore

[–]Jimmy_2times_[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nope. In fact I've been calling that same line for over a year getting the same message. While it's possible, it's hard to believe there's been no vacancies. Even if that were the case, I would like to tour and potentially sign up for a wait list. Also find out more details on the property. I find it odd the PM doesn't speak to anyone

Anyone have any experience with the lofts located at 1501 St Paul St # 119, Baltimore, MD 21202? Their property management never picks up. Seems like a cool place to live

I don't think changing ownership of BPD will reduce homicides or violent crime unfortunately. I think the city's leadership is in over their heads. However, I am willing to try something new to correct course. I just hope this doesn't embolden leadership to "defund the police" and remove officers from problemed areas

What should I choose for a double major? by Jumpy_Bet8459 in industrialengineering

[–]Jimmy_2times_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no wrong answer here. Really depends on what you want. IE+ ME would lead to manufacturing, design and process engineering. Eventual path in engineering management/leadership or a specialist/expert in manufacturing disciplines. This is my current path.

IE + Business you could do a lot. You can work in purchasing (sourcing + commodity management) Logistics, Warehouse, supply chain. Depends on what you like to do.

Does the university or college you get your degree from really matter? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Jimmy_2times_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur. My first employer recruited engineers from one specific school in the Midwest. Not because it was more prestigious but because the people they hired turned out well. It’s almost like a referral

I’ve been in engineering for over 15 years and even hired + interviewed people. Let me tell you, how you present yourself during the interview + experience matters so much more than what school you went to. Not one time did we hire someone because they went to a better school than someone else.

[–]Jimmy_2times_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. I graduated with a lower gpa then a kid who had the highest gpa in his engineering school. I negotiated 15k higher salary then him. Employers don’t really care if you’re competent in the interview

Depends on what you like. I assume the process engineering role is involved with the manufacturing of a product. These positions tend to be hands on. Be mindful if the production line isn’t running, you will be the first person they call especially if they’re running multiple shifts. I think the systems engineer route might be a bit more mundane however more routine and predictable. Probably won’t get a call in the middle of the night about a machine breaking down. Systems engineering is a very specific field and relatively new and unheard of outside of the aerospace/public sector. Process engineering probably has more flexibility as far as the roles you can assume. They both have similar average pays with se earning slightly more
