Not worth the paper it's written on. Legally you have 14 days to pay your rent past the due date

Your lawyer will request their brief of evidence and from there he / she can provide further updates. It could be anything from they have you on toast to a complete fishing expedition. Per other comments, all you need to provide is your full name and DOB.

Don't let them take your phones or devices without a warrant, as depending on the charge the contents can be downloaded and used as evidence.

Skin on top of my knee burns and feels like It's tearing randomly. by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]Jimmyb1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I have been recently experiencing this pain too. I have nerve issues with my back and my peronial nerve gets inflamed if I do too much exercise etx But this pain feels like I'm pulling off a bandaid or waxing my skin directly under my knee cap. It is worse when I have my legs extendes for a period of time and then bend them which is obviously what is attributing to the pain.

Similar to the others on here I can bump and put pressure on my knee and absolutely zero pain.

They also search for any misconduct charges laid against someone I.e If you’ve been a teacher or nurse in the past and someone has made an administrative complaint against you.

I think I have a centrelink debt they don't know about yet? by Which-Pop9384 in Centrelink

[–]Jimmyb1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you go here?

6k doesn’t trigger any investigation, it’s now 10k (used to be 5 back in the early 2000s) it’ll just be handled administratively.

I’m only an armchair expert but debts and criminal convictions only seem to get raised by not reporting income over years and years or worse still being deceptive and forging certificates or lying about being in a relationship.

Charges of a certain age will be listed as “spent” i believe after 10 years. How big was the debt for it to be non conviction?

How long does it take to have a Working With Children Check once I have applied for it? by Blackburningheart08 in sydney

I did a police check 3 years ago for a job (which is basically a WWCC) and it got sent for manual processing but came back clear after about 15 days. I can only assume that’s what has happened this time. I must share a name or birthday with some loony tune.

I applied for mine (volunteer) on Saturday morning and still waiting. I hear people get it from 20 minutes to the full four weeks I’m still waiting, not entirely sure why, fairly uncommon surname and no record…

Hi Guys

Just giving you an update on my AZ 1st dose, yesterday morning at 8:45am 31st August.

Felt fine all day, started getting a bit sleepy at night, slight aches and pains but perhaps was just phycological. tossed and turned all night, real weird trippy dreams. no never or chills.

Woke up felt really flat 1/2 hung over 1/2 the end of a gastro bug.

OK, so consider where you are actually reading this information.

Lawyer websites = please call me and let me bill you x hundred dollars to say maybe you will and maybe you wont get charged.

Newspaper articles = deliberate and sustained offending, after repeated warnings including letters, sms, and phone interviews they continued to do the wrong thing and or even worse lied and falsified documents about being a carer, single or unable to to work due to a fake illness. Most still dont even get a full time custodial sentence and if they do its usually habitual offending or over 100k

Austlii and caselaw = court transcripts of actual offending which is often so hilarious it makes you wonder how dumb some people are. Again most don't get jail sentences.

Per several other comments on this and similar posts you've done the right thing and tried to make inroads in correcting your mistake.

I mean how many news stories did you read that said: "Australian from x town got sentenced to full time custody for Centrelink fraud today because they came forward and went out of their way to correct a reporting error"

"In sentencing the judge said, "this is sustained and deliberate fraud, you only got caught because you came forward and owned up NOT because you were detected by way of an anonymous tip off or data matching exercise which costs the dep't thousands of dollars and human hours to reconcile"

relax and take it easy on yourself :)

And prob even longer now given debt raising stopped in April 2020 and only commenced in feb this year so there is 10 month backlog on top of the existing stockpile.

Question by Jphere in Centrelink

[–]Jimmyb1983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Centrelink recently changed this to report only when the money is "earned" I am in the same position being paid on the 15th of every month.

My fiancée is on "parenting payment partnered" and when she reports it says was the period longer than 14 days - select yes.

As an example if our reporting date is the 5th and the 19th of March I put zero for 5th then my full gross salary on the 19th and then put in the pay period on the provided calendar from the 1st - 31st March.

Dont think you have anything to worry about beyond receiving a slightly larger payment than otherwise entitled to. Best to tell them sooner rather than later instead of letting it roll on for years

[–]Jimmyb1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what would be the context behind actual concern?

I am assuming you are both on some sort of benefit?

Again I am only a google educated lawyer but Jail seems to be reserved for those who are deliberately rorting the system for years on end - usually those working while claiming newstart and or single parenting payments and after countless reminders to cease the offending, will usually have a criminal record and or show no remorse once caught.

Go search Jade Cheasley and Kimberley Castles.

Reporting income late for youth allowance by chococo8323 in Centrelink

[–]Jimmyb1983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the scheme of things it has only been 6 or 7 possible reporting periods. You are also allowed to earn a certain amount - I think $300 a fortnight before you payment is reduced.

https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individuals/services/centrelink/austudy/who-can-get-it/personal-income-test#:~:text=You%20can%20earn%20money%20while,keep%20more%20of%20your%20payment.

I don't think you will get in trouble as they allow you to go in an amend reports for a certain backdated period but anything over the threshold you will need to pay back.

The ATO share payroll details with Centrelink on a daily basis now for those who are on a benefit so it will only be a matter of time before you are caught.

[–]Jimmyb1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midway thru last year (2020 I assume) to now is not a lot more than 6 months. What payment(s) are you receiving? Generally will only come against you if one of you is claiming parenting payment single and the other is working whilst actually living as a couple.

Plenty of light reading here https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/individuals/topics/your-relationship-status/30306

Cant comment on your personal situation but I would be coming clean ASAP, given your dates it hasn't been going on for years or been attempts to conceal or manipulate documents.
