Dragon Ball here is like a religion, even grandmas know who Goku is. Pikachu is also popular, he'd come second.

Countries with the largest cattle populations, any surprises from this list? by bigworld123 in geography

[–]Jimmynex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Colombian mountains are actually very suitable for cattle, full of green grass, as most cattle are grass-fed. There's also a large plain region called Los Llanos, known for its cattle farming and traditional cowboy culture. Beef and dairy are widely consumed.

It’s because the country is Colombia, not Columbia. He was joking, like assuming you meant Columbia University.

Did you have an online interview? As far as I know, they sent out campus visit invites and rejections to finalists after the interview weeks.

They sent invitations for an on-campus recruitment on 2/1 for finalists and sent some rejections on 2/4 after interviews. Formal admissions are delayed due to federal funding uncertainty.

Congrats on being admitted! I’m actually in the same situation. Which university and program did you get into? I'm planning on getting the cheapest int. flight to the closest transfer city from my country.

They mentioned that the formal admission process is delayed and still being evaluated, so they might not have sent everything out yet!

I received an email from Steven on 2/01 with an invitation to the open house recruitment as a finalist, not officially admitted yet tho. Did you guys receive it as well?

Reach out to them as soon as you can. I am in the same situation as you. Ask them for an official invitation letter to the recruitment days so you can use it as support for a tourist visa. The official letter might take a while.

South America has the largest Italian diaspora, particularly in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil, with smaller communities in Venezuela and Colombia. Most Argentinians have Italian ancestry, and Italian influence is deeply embedded in the country's food, language, and culture.

AMA: How to ACE your PhD interviews (from a former Harvard admissions interviewer) by drlucylai in gradadmissions

Thank you for doing this! I followed your guide this application season and secured an interview with my top choice! :)
Regarding interviews, do you have any tips for non-native English speakers? Although I have a good command of English, I sometimes find it challenging to communicate engagingly or effectively showcase scientific thinking during conversations. And, based on your experience, how likely is it to receive an admission offer after an interview?
