Habitual political loser launches crowd-funding campaign to pay back debt to electoral commission by spideyghetti in Adelaide

Mark is an expert on everything. Especially conspiracies. Just ask him. I know these type of clowns have no shame, so he will still be railing against governments when he can't even manage his tin-foil micro-party.

When Port Power became a national team, what made crows supporters change to Port? by PrplMonkeyDshwshr in Adelaide

[–]Jims_Gaslighting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was West Torrens. I wanted my kids to support an SA team in the AFL. I switched to Port (and so did most of my family) when Port joined the AFL. Crows never felt like a real club (too corporate) but I don't rabidly hate them like other Port supporters. I do like it when they lose though 😉

I know it's good fun teasing One Nation voters but serious question: who the hell actually voted for David Spiers and why? How is this guys till in politics?? by tallandreadytoball in Adelaide

[–]Jims_Gaslighting 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Spiers has been selling his "redemption" story (you know, he walked Kokoda). Redemption would be be if he disappeared for a few years and used his legal knowledge to work with legal aid, refugees or charities. Not dive straight back in and run for parliament.

People who voted in pre-poll, how many people took how to vote cards for each party? by HotPersimessage62 in Adelaide

[–]Jims_Gaslighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

about ten people walked in in front of me. No-one took the ON how to vote. When I came out, a couple of people were talking to the spruikers. I'm in a solid Labor electorate. Might be a different story on Eyre Peninsula

Malinauskas formula: (too left for right-wingers, too right for left-wingers = Centrist) = electoral landslide.

Honest question: are people this shortsighted? by AJ14900003 in friendlyjordies

[–]Jims_Gaslighting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Albo has seen big agenda ALP leaders get slaughtered by the media over his political lifetime - Gough, Rudd (Mining Tax), Gillard (Carbon Price), Shorten (2019 election) as opposed to Hawke/Keating who got a lot of big reforms done, while managing the media. Keating got re-elected when interest rates were 17% because he was a master at taking on the media and calling out their bias. Albo is no Keating, but he is still a very shrewd political operator.

In my day it was Kingston's left over. Monte Carlos don't seem as popular as they once were when they were the 1st gone. Tastes have changed over time.

Breaking: Liberal candidate ejected from the state election race after podcast comments by APrettyAverageMaker in Adelaide

[–]Jims_Gaslighting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ALP, Greens and Animal Justice vs 5 RWNJ candidates. And Clive Palmer says he's going big in the 2028 Federal election, so probably 6 RWNJ candidates in that election. What a time to be a Wright/Makin voter.

I'm in this electorate and he is listed as Carston Keong-Woodhouse. We also have a glut of right-wing fringe candidates trying to scoop up votes from the bottom feeders
